• Support project engineering activities including material and construction specifications, design packages, material take-offs, procurement requisitions, and change orders • Track material deliveries, purchase orders, packing slips, inventory, and documentation; coordinate expense submissions and provide technical support to field teams • Assist with project coordination including scheduling tasks, milestones, and deadlines; track and report project progress through updates, presentations, and reporting tools • Facilitate communication between field staff, design engineers, clients, and stakeholders; review and interpret construction drawings and project documents to support execution • Support estimating activities including quantity take-offs, pricing, validation of outsourced estimates, and preparation of written bid deliverables such as assumptions and execution plans • Review and incorporate historical cost data into Valard's cost model; attend project planning sessions and assist with execution sequencing and logistics • Collect field data for KPI tracking including access and foundation metrics; complete daily reporting, POD submissions, and meeting minutes • Maintain and update GIS mapping, MBOS manuals, and document control systems • Process LEMs and accruals; support ordering and procurement activities as required
• Be a visible presence and safety resource in the field to ensure a safe work environment for all Valard employees, contractors, and visitors as per the Site Safety Management Plan (SMP) • Communicate, coach and assist field staff to ensure that all safety expectations are met • Participate in, and assist the supervisors and foreman with, investigation of incidents to determine root cause, and corrective actions • Participate in regular meetings with project safety teams to review issues, trends and upcoming conditions or events to ensure safety obligations are carried out as per client agreement and communicated to the Project Manager and Supervisors • Review tailboards daily to ensure that hazards are addressed, and a mitigation process is in place; provide feedback to workers to assist them in being compliant • Perform observations, inspections, emergency preparedness drills, and review / communicate the findings via safety meetings and postings • Facilitate weekly safety meetings, capture minutes and prepare weekly / monthly safety reports • Provide support to the supervisors and foreman to ensure that JSAs are developed and reviewed with the crews and available at the work site • Apply and reinforce the requirements of Valard's Health, Safety and Environmental Manual across all field activities • Regularly review and be familiar with all applicable legislation, and applicable standards and inform Project Manager(s) of any relevant changes

Senior Distribution Powerline Technician, Foreman

• Lead and conduct morning tailboard with entire crew present • Enforce safety compliance, including but not limited to safety glasses, steel toe boots, high visibility clothing, face guards, etc. • Communicate with construction manager safety concerns, potential hazards and other issues • Adhere to and enforce all company specific and industry specific safety regulations • Lead the Erection of steel / wood poles, towers, and guy wires • Install overhead and underground power lines, insulators, conductors, transformers, switches, and associated equipment • Perform conductor stringing, sagging, clipping, and dead-ending (energized and de-energized) • Execute advanced system switching tasks, including reclosers and loop feeds • Perform UG (underground) cable testing, terminations, and equipment installation • Splice, solder, and insulate conductors for connections • Model safe work practices and ensure crew adherence to Valard’s HSE policies • Mentor apprentices and junior personnel in tasks, safety protocols, and equipment use • Conduct and review tailboards, FLHA, and daily safety checklists • Proficiently carry out advanced live line work procedures and teach basic live line procedures to apprentices • Lead or assist with job hazard assessments, fall protection plans, and critical lift plans • Ensure proper documentation of safety forms, inspections, and procedural compliance • Submit daily documentation and reports
