Role Description Are you detail-oriented, process-driven, and ready to build a long-term career in international recruitment? We’re partnering with a fast-growing UK-based education recruitment company that places teachers, teaching assistants, and SEN specialists into schools across the UK. They are looking for a Compliance Officer to join their remote South African team — with a clear pathway to transition into a Resourcer role once you’ve mastered compliance. This is not just a job. The Opportunity You’ll begin by taking ownership of the compliance process — the operational backbone of education recruitment — ensuring every candidate is fully vetted and cleared to work in UK schools. Once you’ve built strong foundations and developed a thorough understanding of safeguarding, documentation, and UK regulatory standards, you’ll transition into a Resourcer role, actively identifying and placing: - Qualified Teachers - Teaching Assistants - SEN Teachers and Support Staff This is a defined growth position with genuine progression into the candidate-facing side of recruitment. What You’ll Be Doing (Phase 1 – Compliance) - Managing end-to-end candidate compliance for UK education placements - Ensuring safeguarding standards are met in line with Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) requirements - Verifying right-to-work documentation - Chasing references and validating employment history - Maintaining accurate CRM and compliance records - Liaising with candidates to ensure all documentation is completed efficiently - Working closely with UK consultants to meet placement deadlines Attention to detail is critical. Schools place significant trust in recruitment partners to uphold safeguarding standards, and compliance is central to that responsibility. Phase 2 – Transition to Resourcer Once confident in compliance processes, you will step into a Resourcer role where you will: - Source teachers and SEN professionals for UK schools - Conduct candidate screening calls - Build and manage talent pipelines - Match candidates to suitable vacancies - Coordinate interviews - Develop long-term candidate relationships You will move from process-focused responsibilities into a people-driven recruitment position, with performance-based incentives and career growth opportunities.
