As a Metrology Engineer you will be collaborating with process and integration experts to qualify Low and High NA EUV lithography processes and other technology development projects that directly shape future memory technologies. You will work hands-on with equipment, materials, layouts, and data, while collaborating with global partners to move innovations from R&D into high-volume manufacturing. This role offers broad technical exposure and the opportunity to influence device performance, yield, and cost at scale. This role is full time at the NYCreates site in Albany, New York. You will collaborate with our Technology Development (TD) teams in Boise and Hiroshima to enable Micron's technical roadmap. NYCreates is a diverse consortium, and you will have many opportunities to work closely with suppliers and other companies while protecting Micron's intellectual property (IP). Responsibilities: - Develop and integrate metrology processes for advanced memory technologies - Perform material evaluations, reticle and layout development, OPC, overlay optimization, and process window analysis - Drive yield improvement, failure analysis, and device performance optimization - Partner with equipment vendors to evaluate tools and improve process capability - Document processes, communicate results, and support technology transfer to manufacturing Minimum Qualifications: - M.S. or Ph.D. in Electrical or Electronics Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or other Engineering or Technical Degree relevant to Metrology. - B.S. with 2+ years semiconductor processing experience with emphasis on metrology will also be considered. - Experience or working knowledge in metrology or semiconductor process development - Working knowledge of process characterization, data analysis, and statistical methods - Ability to collaborate across cross-functional technical teams Preferred Qualifications: - Experience with metrology techniques that include methods of critical dimension measurement, registration measurement and films characterization. - Experience working with semiconductor equipment vendors or R&D environments - Experience providing and/or analyzing metrology solutions specific to EUV photolithography challenges. - Proficiency in scripting (Python/JMP/SQL) for data analysis and automation. - Experience using LLM or AI productivity tools The US base salary range that Micron Technology estimates it could pay for this full-time position is: $89,000.00 - $182,000.00 a year Additional compensation may include benefits, bonuses and equity.
