Title: Secondary Marketing Analyst I Atlanta, GA Full time Office presence: Hybrid FLSA Status: Full Time, Salary, Exempt JOB SUMMARY The Secondary Marketing Analyst I supports the Secondary Marketing team through analysis and reporting. This role keeps up with mortgage products and pricing and communicates any changes to the Company on a regular basis. This role also assists in management of the Lock Desk, efficiently supporting the Sales department on loan lock concerns. JOB FUNCTIONS Lock Desk Support/Administrative Functions - Supports the lock desk by assisting loan originators with pricing scenarios, product inquiries, and general questions about systems and or policies. - Reviews and processes lock requests, lock confirmations, change requests, repricing/renegotiation and extension requests adhering to Silverton Pricing Policies. - Reviews and Processes Best Effort locks within our Investor portals to insure accurate updates and file delivery. - Implements/monitors/removes pricing changes in anticipation of market movements to ensure margins are met. - Observes for pricing engine errors or inconstancies and notifies management of any potential fixes needed. - Conducts Product and Pricing training as needed for new loan originators. Reports and Audits - Reviews daily locked pipeline for erroneous/accurate coverage and alerts management of any concerns. - Tests For Pricing accuracy for new product rolls, investor updates to rate sheet/eligibility, new pricing engines, or any other analytical need surrounding pricing. - Sends out pipeline status emails, reviews pipeline for inactive files that affect pull through numbers. - Analyzes loan status/data entry from overnight reports, correcting any erroneous data. - Ensures appropriate actions are taken in locked loan pipeline (extensions, expirations, relocks). - Verifies House Loans are flagged correctly in the Loan Operating System. Process Management - Updates and maintains departmental policies and procedures as well as any other necessary training materials. - Develops new processes to improve business functions. - Enters Secondary Investor commitments. REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred. Years of Related Experience: 1-2 years in mortgage industry. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs): - Excellent written and verbal communication skills along with solid computer skills. - Analytical thinker and consultative mind to support both team members and managers in all areas of the business. - Goal-oriented, self-motivated with the capacity to meet and exceed assigned goals. - Willing to learn, industrious, determined, and assertive. - Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multitask to complete a wide variety of tasks. - Strong people skills with ability to interact with all internal teams and external customers. - Must be able to maintain sensitive and confidential information. - Diligence to ensure tasks are completed thoroughly and on time. - Demonstrates knowledge of, adherence to, monitoring and responsibility for Compliance with State and Federal Regulations and Laws as they pertain to this position. - Open/Close Loan Operating System or similar loan operating system. - Familiarity with investor websites preferred but not required. - Strong understanding of mortgage products and pricing.
