Role Description The Counselor facilitates patient engagement in treatment and education within a therapeutic milieu. This role involves conducting individual, group, and family counseling sessions, performing utilization review, and coordinating discharge planning. The Counselor collaborates with the healthcare team to ensure patients receive timely, safe, and resource-informed services. They interpret complex patient and family needs, role model caring practices, and provide leadership in crisis intervention and safety management. - Facilitate patient involvement in treatment plans and educational activities. - Conduct individual, group, and family counseling sessions. - Perform utilization reviews and discharge planning to ensure optimal care transitions. - Collaborate with all members of the healthcare team to deliver safe, timely, and effective services, providing resources and education to patients and families. - Interpret and communicate complex patient and family needs, modeling caring and professional practices to team members. - Assess psychosocial risk factors through evaluation of prior functioning, support systems, reactions to illness, and coping skills. - Counsel patients and families on emotional, social, and financial impacts of illness or disability. - Access and mobilize family and community resources to meet identified needs. - Conduct mental health assessments upon physician referral and provide therapeutic intervention for complex discharge planning. - Serve as the primary contact in cases involving child abuse/neglect, adult/elderly abuse/neglect, institutional abuse, and domestic violence. - Act as liaison between IU Health and state/county child and adult protective teams. - Provide intervention in guardianship (temporary/permanent), foster care, adoption, and mental health Level II placements. Qualifications - Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university in a mental health field such as Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related discipline. - 3-5 years of relevant clinical or community-based experience. - Current licensure in Indiana as an LCSW, LMHC, LMFT, LCAC, or HSPP. - Certification in crisis intervention (may be required). - BLS certification (may be required). - Knowledge of the impact of disease processes and human behavior to perform psychosocial assessments, therapeutic counseling, and crisis intervention. - Familiarity with Evidence-Based Practices (CBT, MI, DBT). - Knowledge of state and county legal mandates related to child and adult protective services. - Understanding of growth and development principles across the lifespan. - Ability to maintain principles, practices, and techniques of crisis intervention and de-escalation. - Ability to provide a safe, therapeutic environment and instruct patients in daily activities and programming. - Basic proficiency in Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). - Strong ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with community agencies, law enforcement, medical teams, schools, probation, and protective services. Role Description The Sr. Debt Counselor role manages and collects delinquent business and consumer accounts. Our consultative approach helps identify the most suitable way to resolve a balance in the best interest of all parties. Due to the competitive nature of these contracts, it is imperative ConServe locates experienced, professional individuals who are customer-focused, enthusiastic, detail-oriented and able to work in a fast-paced environment or remote work environment. - The Sr. Debt Counselor provides financial, clerical and administrative services to ensure efficient, timely and accurate repayment of accounts within their scope of work. - The Sr. Debt Counselor will address collection/accounts receivable issues and assist with special projects based on departmental goals and objectives. - Ensure effective decisions are made in the best interest of the client requirements and expectations. - Demonstrates the right judgment that is within authority and scope of work. - Capable of reviewing Secretary of State, P & Ls and various financial documents to ensure resolution is supportable. - Resolve complex issues. - Demonstrate a positive working relationship with departments to accomplish the goals and objectives of the client and ConServe. - Skip-Tracing – to assist in locating & contacting consumers and businesses. - Meet daily, weekly and monthly goals as set by management at ConServe. - Daily Productivity – Work a specified number of accounts/cases daily and maintain an acceptable level of daily metrics as assigned to the position by Management. - Achieve a high level of resolution with a compliant and customer centric approach. - Record Maintenance – proper management & updating of system to maximize contacts. - Adherence to ConServe’s Blueprint Quality Management System, Code of Conduct, and Compliance Program. Qualifications - High School Diploma or GED. - Associates or Bachelor’s Degree preferred. - One (1) year of ConServe collections experience or five (5) years of relevant 3rd party debt collection experience in Higher Education, Financial Services or Government debt collection. - Must have prior proven experience with ECMC. - Consistent, proven twelve-month performance history. - Documented successful debt collection performance records. - Current or recent debt collection experience preferred. - Business to Business asset recovery, sales, marketing or other B2B related skills preferred. - Strong organizational and time management skills. - Attention to detail. - Ability to act independently to resolve problems. - The ability to work the required scheduled shift. - Fluent in conversational English and ability to proficiently read and write English. - Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to listen, persuade, negotiate and obtain resolution. - Intermediate Computer skills to document calls and navigate software packages, databases and the internet. - Ability to work in a positive, collaborative manner with coworkers. - Ability and history of maintaining confidentiality and high level of trustworthiness. - Ability and history of interacting well with team members and customers in a professional manner while maintaining a safe work environment. - The ability to telework. - A secure internet connection, to plug in ConServe equipment into a hardline Ethernet port. - A private work area in which work activities can be conducted. - Ability to obtain and maintain Government Security Clearance. - Ability to obtain and maintain State Collections Licensure. - U.S. Citizenship or lawful Permanent Resident alien with three or more years as a permanent resident in the United States. - No conflicts of interest with ConServe or our Clients.
