Role Description The Principal Sales Training Specialist is responsible for designing, delivering and evaluating comprehensive sales training programs that enable the success of the field sales organization. This role serves as a strategic learning partner to Sales Leadership, Marketing, Clinical, Medical Education and other cross-functional teams to develop learning strategies that build product expertise, clinical knowledge, selling skills and business acumen. The ideal candidate is a dynamic facilitator and experienced learning professional who is passionate about developing talent, advancing commercial excellence and helping expand patient access to innovative medical technologies. Your responsibilities will include: - Design, develop and facilitate onboarding, advanced and continuous learning programs for sales professionals. - Lead the development and execution of strategic learning initiatives that align with commercial objectives and organizational priorities. - Deliver engaging instructor-led, virtual and field-based training focused on product knowledge, clinical applications, sales process and customer engagement. - Partner with Sales Leadership to identify performance gaps and implement learning solutions that improve individual and team effectiveness. - Collaborate with Marketing, Clinical, Medical Education and other cross-functional partners to ensure training content remains accurate, current and aligned with business priorities. - Develop training materials, facilitator guides, e-learning modules, assessments and reinforcement tools that support ongoing learning. - Coach sales representatives through field observations, ride-alongs and structured feedback to improve selling effectiveness and execution. - Evaluate training effectiveness through assessments, participant feedback, performance metrics and business outcomes, recommending continuous improvements. - Support new product launches by developing and delivering training programs that prepare the field organization for successful commercialization. - Serve as a subject matter expert on commercial learning best practices, instructional design and adult learning methodologies. - Maintain expertise in Boston Scientific technologies, competitive products, market dynamics and relevant clinical evidence. - Travel to national sales meetings, regional meetings, physician programs and training events as required. Qualifications - Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience. - Minimum of 7 years' experience in medical device sales, sales training, commercial education or a related commercial role. - Minimum of 3 years' experience designing and delivering instructor-led training and facilitating adult learning programs. - Demonstrated experience leading strategic commercial learning initiatives across cross-functional organizations. - Demonstrated knowledge of sales methodologies, coaching techniques and performance development. - Excellent presentation, facilitation and communication skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences and influence stakeholders at multiple organizational levels. - Experience developing training curricula, learning materials and performance support resources. - Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment. - Willingness to travel up to 50% based on business needs. Requirements - Master's degree in education, organizational development, business administration or a related field (preferred). - Experience supporting medical device, cardiovascular, electrophysiology, neuromodulation, urology, endoscopy or other healthcare technology businesses (preferred). - Knowledge of adult learning principles, instructional design and learning technologies (preferred). - Experience with learning management systems and virtual learning platforms (preferred). - Proven ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and drive adoption of commercial best practices (preferred). - Experience supporting product launches, commercial excellence initiatives or sales force effectiveness programs (preferred). - Experience mentoring trainers or leading enterprise-wide learning projects (preferred).
