Senior Accountant

Praxis

• Support the monthly general ledger close process, including preparation and review of journal entries, reconciliations and supporting schedules. • Assist in preparation of commercial related accruals and R&D accruals, including coordination with functional stakeholders and timely recording in the general ledger. • Perform cash reconciliations as part of the monthly close process and investigate and resolve variances. • Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting deliverables. • Support budgeting and forecasting activities in collaboration with the FP&A team, including data gathering, analysis and tracking of actuals versus forecast. • Maintain and improve accounting processes, documentation and controls to support accuracy and scalability. • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure timely, accurate financial information and support ad hoc analyses as needed.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
  • 3+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within biotech, pharmaceutical or life sciences companies.
  • Strong understanding of general ledger accounting, accruals and account reconciliations.
  • Experience supporting monthly close processes in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
  • Interest in and aptitude for FP&A, including budgeting and forecasting support.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Comfortable working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment with multiple reviewers and stakeholders.
