Role Description The Human Resources Generalist I plays a critical role in supporting the HR department within the information industry by managing a variety of employee-related services, regulatory compliance, and administrative functions. This position is responsible for ensuring smooth HR operations that align with organizational goals and foster a positive workplace culture. The role involves collaborating with multiple departments to address employee needs, assist with recruitment and onboarding, and maintain accurate HR records. The Human Resources Generalist I will also contribute to the implementation of HR policies and programs that support employee engagement and development. Ultimately, this position serves as a key resource for employees and management, helping to create an efficient and compliant work environment across the United States locations. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. - At least 1 year of experience in a human resources role or related administrative position. - Basic knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices applicable in the United States. - Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and HR information systems. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Requirements - Professional HR certification such as PHR or SHRM-CP. - Experience with ADP and CostPoint. - Experience working in the information technology or related industry. - Familiarity with applicant tracking systems and payroll software. - Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion. - Experience supporting remote or distributed teams. Responsibilities - Support onboarding activities for new hires, ensuring a smooth integration into the company. - Maintain and update employee records in HR information systems with accuracy and confidentiality. - Respond to employee inquiries regarding HR policies, benefits, and procedures in a timely and professional manner. - Help administer employee benefits programs and assist with payroll coordination. - Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations. - Participate in employee relations activities, including conflict resolution and performance management support. - Assist in organizing training sessions and employee development initiatives. - Generate HR reports and assist with audits as needed.
