Mechanical Specialist – Boilermaker

• Perform assembly and disassembly of flange systems, ensuring proper alignment, torque specifications, and sealing integrity. • Inspect, repair, and replace flange components, including bolts, gaskets, and seals, according to technical specifications and safety standards. • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders to execute tasks accurately. • Conduct pressure testing and leak detection on flange connections to ensure reliability and compliance with safety regulations. • Operate and maintain tools and equipment such as torque wrenches, impact tools, and hydraulic tensioners. • Adhere to all safety protocols, including lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures, while working in hazardous environments. • Collaborate with team members, supervisors, and other trades to complete projects efficiently and on schedule. • Maintain detailed records of maintenance and repairs performed on flange systems.
Job Requirements
- Minimum 1 years of experience in flange assembly and disassembly or a similar role in an industrial setting.
- Proficient in using specialized tools and equipment for flange assembly and maintenance.
- Strong understanding of flange standards (e.g., ASME, ANSI) and bolt torque specifications.
- Familiarity with industrial safety standards, including OSHA regulations and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.
- Ability to clearly and confidently communicate plans to refinery contractors (strong communication skills- written and verbal).
- Ability to diagnose and solve problems during the actual applications.
