Visual Designer – Motion, Digital & Brand
Properstar
• Design and produce visual assets across channels: Website and landing pages • Campaign visuals (email, paid, CRM, social) • Product and feature visuals • Create motion graphics and animations for: Campaign videos • Explainers and product highlights • Social and digital formats • Edit and assemble short-form videos using existing footage or new material • Apply and evolve Properstar’s brand identity consistently across markets • Support visual storytelling through: Typography • Layout • Visual systems • Collaborate closely with the Head of Marketing on: Creative concepts • Campaign ideas • Visual direction • Work independently from brief to execution, managing your own priorities
Job Requirements
- 3–6 years of experience in visual, digital, or motion design
- Strong foundation in graphic design
- Practical experience with motion design and animation
- Experience editing video for digital channels
- Strong eye for composition, layout, and visual storytelling
- Comfortable working across static, motion, and video formats
- Ability to adapt designs for different channels and markets
- Tools & skills: Design: Figma, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator)
- Motion / video: After Effects, Premiere Pro (or similar)
- Familiarity with web and digital formats
- Understanding of brand systems and scalable design
- Ability to integrate generative creatives into a professional design pipeline, utilizing LLMs
- Nice to have: Experience in property tech, real estate, or marketplace businesses
- Basic understanding of performance marketing visuals
- Photography skills or strong visual curation instincts
- Experience working in international teams
- Conceptual development and generative AI tools (e.g., Midjourney, DALL-E, Stable Diffusion)

We work with campaigns, nonprofits, advocacy organizations, and causes on the front lines of racial justice, climate action, privacy and tech policy, immigration rights, and economic justice. We’re looking for a creative, driven design intern to join our creative team for SPRING 2026 (March 2026 - May 2026). What does the role involve? As a graphic design intern at Middle Seat, you’ll work closely with our design team to support real campaigns and causes with impactful visuals. You’ll create social media graphics, digital ads, print collateral, branding assets, and more. You’ll be encouraged to bring your own creative voice while learning how to collaborate in a fast-paced political design environment. This role is available either in person at our Washington, D.C office or remotely. This role is not part of the bargaining unit.
