Role Description The Marketing Specialist creates, distributes, and manages content to support marketing goals and brand awareness. This role implements content strategies and tracks content performance to optimize efforts and maximize ROI. Essential Functions - Content Creation and Management - Assist the Director of Integrated Engagement in developing and implementing a content strategy that aligns with overall business objectives. - Produce high-quality content, including for events, blog posts, social media updates, videos, and other formats. - Manage and create content for monthly sustainer program and other email marketing. - Maintain a style guide to ensure brand consistency across all content. - Optimize content for SEO and readability. - Assist in the creation and implementation of the organization’s internal communication. - Work closely with the Social Media Manager to develop and implement a content distribution strategy. - Monitor content performance and make adjustments to optimize strategies based on data insights. - Tailor messaging for various audience segments, ensuring tone, style, and clarity are aligned with organizational goals. - Support campaign planning with creative concepts, taglines, and storytelling elements. - Lead content production for event campaigns, including writing or editing emails for event invitations, reminders, confirmations, and follow-ups, as well as content for event microsites or printed materials. - Performance Analysis and Reporting - Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as website traffic, social media engagement, lead generation, and conversion rates. - Analyze data to identify areas for improvement and make data-driven decisions about content strategy. - Write with conversion and engagement in mind, optimizing copy based on data and audience insights. Supervisory Responsibility - No supervision requirements. Other Duties - Attend and participate in a variety of meetings and task force groups as directed and maintain required level of knowledge pertaining to operating procedures, requirements, processes, and policies. - Lead and or participate in projects or task force groups that focus on issues having organization-wide impact. - Collaborate with other marketing team members to align content with overall marketing campaigns. - Stay up-to-date on the latest trends and best practices in content marketing. - Perform or assist with any assignments as required or directed. Qualifications - Strong faith in Jesus Christ as Savior; God-honoring lifestyle. - Passion for the Word of God and provision of the Word for every people group. - Championing Seed Company’s vision, mission, and values. - Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, English, or a related field. - 2-5 years of professional copywriting experience, preferably in a marketing or agency environment. - Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills across short- and long-form formats. - Strong understanding of marketing funnels, digital content best practices, and audience targeting. - Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills. - Assists team members when needed to accomplish team goals. - Empathy-driven, humble, collaborative work ethic. - Solutions-oriented approach to work, relationships, and team members. - Demonstrated ability to produce clear, compelling content on tight deadlines. - Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently. - Self-motivated and self-directed. - Ability to work independently or as an active member of a team. - Interaction with remote team members and other staff using Slack, Zoom, or other communication tools as required for the sake of collaboration and team building.
