T4 Engineer

Frontline Managed Services

• Serve as a senior escalation engineer for Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, and on-premises Exchange environments. • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across varying priority levels while maintaining exceptional client service. • Design, plan, and execute Exchange to Microsoft 365 migration projects, including hybrid and coexistence environments. • Administer and support Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, Entra ID (Azure AD), SharePoint Online, Teams, Intune, Defender, and Purview Compliance. • Perform advanced troubleshooting related to Active Directory, Azure AD Connect, hybrid identity, mail flow, authentication, and directory synchronization. • Utilize PowerShell scripting to automate administrative tasks, expedite troubleshooting, generate reporting, and improve operational efficiency. • Identify and remediate migration blockers using tools such as ADSI Edit, Active Directory utilities, and Microsoft diagnostic tools. • Support and manage third-party migration tools and technologies utilized during tenant migrations and consolidations. • Collaborate with project teams, stakeholders, and clients to ensure successful delivery of technical projects. • Lead technical implementations and provide guidance to engineers during complex project engagements. • Document technical procedures, solutions, and project deliverables according to organizational standards. • Manage project responsibilities independently when a dedicated project manager is not assigned. • Balance ticket-based support activities with project commitments while maintaining service quality and meeting deadlines. • Escalate issues appropriately based on business impact, urgency, and technical complexity. • Participate in after-hours maintenance, migration activities, and critical incident response when required. • Communicate effectively with leadership, clients, and team members regarding project status, risks, and technical recommendations. • Assist with process improvement initiatives and contribute to the best technical practices across the organization.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred.
  • 7+ years of hands-on experience supporting Microsoft technologies in enterprise environments.
  • Extensive experience with Microsoft 365 administration and support.
  • Strong experience with on-premises Microsoft Exchange Server and Exchange Online.
  • Experience managing hybrid Exchange deployments and Microsoft 365 migrations.
  • Advanced knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, ADSI Edit, Azure AD Connect, and Entra ID.
  • Strong PowerShell scripting experience for both Microsoft 365 and on-premises Exchange administration.
  • Experience supporting SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams, Intune, Microsoft Defender, and Microsoft Purview Compliance.
  • Familiarity with third-party migration tools and migration methodologies.
  • Strong understanding of mail flow, DNS, authentication protocols, security, and identity management.
  • Experience working in managed services, consulting, or enterprise IT environment preferred.
  • Microsoft 365 certifications are strongly preferred.
  • Previous Microsoft Exchange certifications are a plus.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize competing demands, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Flexible and dependable with the ability to participate in after-hours support and project work when business needs require.
