Executive Director, Global Market Development

Solid Biosciences

• Develop and execute a global KOL engagement strategy for Friedreich’s Ataxia • Build relationships with neurologists, cardiologists, geneticists, and FA experts globally • Map treatment centers, hospitals, and academic institutions • Partner with Medical Affairs and Opinion Leader Programming to generate actionable insights • Execute advisory boards and scientific engagements • Represent Solid at global congresses • Support clinical site identification and readiness • Ensure compliance with global regulatory standards

Job Requirements

  • Advanced degree (MD, PhD, PharmD, or equivalent preferred)
  • 15+ years in biotech/pharma with demonstrated global KOL experience
  • Rare disease or neuromuscular expertise preferred
  • Experience in European markets required
  • Gene therapy and clinical development knowledge
  • German and/or French fluency preferred
  • Ability to travel 40–60%

The team sits within the Global Product Solutions, which is responsible for innovating the next wave of products and solutions, and for sharpening focus on how existing products and solutions can help meet the needs of BlackRock’s clients. We are looking for a Director to join our team in Hong Kong to lead the portfolio consulting function in Asia Pacific. The candidate should have deep experience in portfolio construction design, with the ability to assess and build portfolios aligned with clients’ objectives, constraints, and risk-adjusted return targets.This is a client-facing role that engages with institutions from Wealth and Institutional businesses, covering cross-asset strategies from index and ETFs to mutual funds and private assets. Responsibilities: - Partner closely with client business, investment and product solutions teams to support the commercialization and adoption of BlackRock products and solutions by engaging with clients in portfolio consulting engagements and leveraging portfolio analytics and market insights to position investment solutions with clients - Respond to client consulting requests by crafting robust portfolio analyses. Types of requests include, but are not limited to, strategic asset allocation optimization, holdings-based risk factor analysis, returns-based style analysis, stress testing evaluations and strategy implementation analysis - Engage in client meetings and develop thoughtful and implementable investment solutions to improve engagement and influence with clients, while considering current economic conditions and BlackRock’s investment views - Manage a team of junior consultants in APAC and work closely with the global portfolio consulting team to generate synergies on portfolio consulting cases and analytics to drive towards the firm’s commercial objectives - Have a strong entrepreneurial and partnership mindset to create innovative solutions for clients’ portfolios by partnering closely with internal stakeholders - Proactively disseminate investment and portfolio construction knowledge throughout the sales and marketing teams to help drive our firm’s commercial priorities - Partner with teams across the firm to leverage best practices, expertise, and tools to enhance regional production capabilities, create additional capacity, and build scale - Continually expand and deepen the investment, portfolio construction, and product suite knowledge base, and seek ways to improve relevance to clients - Lead innovation efforts by leveraging technology and data-driven workflows to improve scale, efficiency, and consistency across the portfolio consulting platform Experience: - 10+ years of relevant industry experience in investment management or similar organization - Deep understanding of portfolio construction and how macroeconomic developments and capital markets can impact investment strategies and portfolio outcomes - Extensive experience working in a large, multinational organization and in close partnerships with stakeholders across regions - Strong presentation and communications skills with previous client-facing experience - Strong technical and analytical skills, with an ability to view the information from the client perspective - Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills required.
