Law and Motion Attorney – Employment Law
Career Consulting Partners
• Draft and respond to motions, including demurrers, motions to strike, discovery motions, and motions for summary judgment/adjudication • Prepare oppositions and reply briefs • Draft complaints and amended pleadings in labor and employment matters • Conduct thorough legal research and analysis on California employment law issues • Prepare internal memoranda related to litigation strategy and legal issues • Ensure all filings comply with California procedural rules and court requirements • Collaborate with litigation attorneys to strengthen case strategy through written advocacy
Job Requirements
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
- An active member of the California State Bar in good standing
- 1 - 4 years of experience practicing employment law
- Substantial experience handling law and motion practice in California employment matters
- Exceptional legal writing, research, and analytical skills
- Ability to manage assignments independently and meet deadlines in a remote environment
- Demonstrated ability to handle a caseload independently and meet deadlines
- Strong negotiation and advocacy skills
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
