Benefits Analyst

Role Description We are looking for a Benefits Analyst for our Accounting team. This role is new and will be responsible for the day-to-day support of our Benefits with a focus on leave of absences. This role is to implement and support programs and processes that help attract, motivate, and retain the top talented employees to support FreedomCare’s business goals and mission. - Serve as the main resource for employees and vendors regarding all benefit-related matters including supporting wellness initiatives. - Assist employees with enrolling in health benefits and answering any questions about benefit offerings and enrollment. - Administer and track all leave of absences programs in various systems including the payments related to such programs. - Reconcile monthly benefit invoices and resolves discrepancies identified with payroll and vendor. - Update payroll with any benefit deduction changes and assist with calculating retroactive deductions if needed. - Ensure the integrity of benefits data for accurate and timely vendor files. - Prepare and deliver presentations related to new hire benefits onboarding and other benefits programs as needed. - Research and respond to employee questions regarding all aspects of employee benefits and act as a liaison between employees and insurance carriers/brokers to ensure timely resolution of any issue. - Participate in the creation of educational materials, intranet sites, and process and procedural documentation. - Seek opportunities for continuous improvement, building efficiencies and enhancing the overall employee benefit experience. - Ensure that benefits plans and practices are in compliance with current legislation. Qualifications - Minimum of 5 years of experience in Benefits and leave administration preferably within a fast-paced, high-growth company. - Strong analytical, communication and presentation skills. - Knowledge of employee benefit plan compliance with an emphasis on stated and federal leave regulations. - Proficient in Microsoft Office; advanced excel skills are a must. - Strong proficiency in Google Suite programs, including docs, Gmail, sheets, etc. - Previous experience in working with Payroll is a plus. - Experience updating Sharepoint or other intranet sites is a plus. - Candidate must be able to travel to our main office located in Lake Success, NY twice a week. Role Description The Principal Business Intelligence & Reporting Analyst is responsible for enabling global FP&A (Financial Planning and Analysis) effectiveness by leading the development, automation, and optimization of financial reporting tools, dashboards, and analytics.
