Aligned Data Centers

• Support the engineering team on Aligned’s technical topics and matters • Work directly with the internal and external design teams to ensure technical compliance • Play a crucial role in responsibilities ranging from early stage design direction to yearly site assessments and evaluating next level technologies • Raise Aligned’s technical capabilities and enhance performance across multiple work streams • Review and support for electrical technical standards and updates • Review and support for each phase of design deliverables • Assist content preparation and presentation to achieve business approvals • Support conceptual/directional design decisions at inception • Review and support for major equipment product commitments • Review and support for commissioning scripts and procedures • Assist with technical investigations and problem solving • Technical support for site performance shortfalls, failures, and issue resolution • Involvement within industry and vendor interaction to be aware of industry leading technologies • Collaborate with customer technical needs to ensure Aligned is aware and keeping pace with industry technical developments • Lead technical review and validation of new technologies • Technical leadership in understanding and evaluating sustainable practices • Communicate complex topics to work groups of varying technical experience.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
  • 5+ years of experience in data center or mission critical electrical and mechanical design, construction and operations
  • PE License in the Electrical field preferred
  • AutoCAD or Revit experience
  • Proficient with interpreting construction drawings and equipment specifications
  • Ability to understand construction project scopes
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience troubleshooting technical problems during startup and commissioning preferred
  • May travel at times up to 25%.

Role Description As an Existing Buildings Associate, you’ll have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by helping advance the goals of USGBC. In this role, you’ll take ownership of optimizing the utilization of all technical products servicing existing buildings, driving key initiatives such as project timelines and deliverables, product promotion, research and improving the user experience of our existing buildings products in alignment with our mission and strategic goals. You’ll report to the Senior Director, Existing Buildings and be part of a collaborative team environment where your contributions will help shape impactful outcomes. You’ll work closely with teams like Product Management, Project Management, Certification and Marketing and Communications.
