• Responsible for interfacing directly with end-users and vendors to assess, recommend, implement, and support network solutions. • Supports the development and maintenance of network documentation. • Evaluates and recommends new technologies as they relate to the businesses network strategy. • Actively participates in network troubleshooting and support. • Documents network architectures, support procedures, and run books. • Builds and maintains relationships with end users, and other IT departments to understand business needs and network requirements. • Supports department staff in the analysis, solution, and documentation of network issues and problems. • Works with management to develop, communicate, implement, and maintain network policies, standards, and procedures. • Serves as network subject matter expert on multifunctional project teams within IT and across lines of business as required to support business needs. • Solicits feedback and provides input on department best practices and actively seeks out opportunities for improvement by following industry practices. • Continually enhances knowledge of Network engineering and company standards in order to achieve departmental success and professional growth.
Job Requirements
- Associates degree (preferred) in Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science or equivalent technical experience.
- CCNA, Network + or other industry recognized certifications preferred. Current or previous certifications acceptable.
- Azure and/or GCP certifications preferred.
- Minimum of 4 years experience as a network engineer in a health care facility, or large-scale inter-network environment. Experience with Aruba and Cisco switches, Cisco routers and SDWan, Fortinet, and Meraki preferred.
