• Lead, coach, and develop a distributed team of engineers - both office-based and remote - ensuring alignment and consistent, high‑quality delivery. • Manage a portfolio of parallel initiatives with distinct profiles: internal governance systems; audit activities; product-feature-supporting automation systems; etc. • Partner with Corp Dev, Security, and product teams during acquisitions to assess risk and standardize access and policy-as-code guardrails across newly acquired infrastructure. • Operate with excellence: monitor and improve risk and reliability; own on-call and incident response; continuously evaluate new capabilities (including AI-assisted tooling) to increase velocity safely. • Represent your organisation's work and priorities to senior leadership, communicating progress, risks, and trade-offs clearly and concisely. • Collaborate directly with the Senior Director of Cloud Infrastructure on the organisation roadmap, priorities, and team development.

Role Description The Sr. Cloud Engineer will design, develop, deploy, and manage cloud-based systems and environments. Collaborate with management, development, and engineering teams to determine proper use of cloud platforms, and to determine applications/solutions appropriate for migration to the cloud. Essential Duties and Responsibilities - Develop, implement, and maintain cloud-based solutions in Microsoft Azure and other cloud providers. - Manage the software development life cycle, including planning, designing, testing and deploying applications. - Creatively solve complex problems in the DevOps space, collaborating with other IT teams and team members as required. - Design and implement complex network solutions to meet company needs for security and scalability, working with vendors, managed service providers, and other IT teams. - Document & build CI/CD pipelines leveraging Infrastructure as Code (IaC), specifically Terraform. - Design and build Kubernetes platform solutions for hosting container workloads and assist developers with solution deployments. - Create professional documentation for designs, technology choices, practices, and process workflows. - Automate builds and deployments across multi-platform environments. - Establish continuous improvement practices that include performance capacity planning, scalability, resiliency, reliability engineering, and evaluation of existing systems for enhancements. - Mentor junior engineers to encourage growth and foster a collaborative team environment. - Work with customers to gather requirements and create solutions that address their needs. - Other duties may be assigned as required. Qualifications - Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field. - Five (5) years of experience in Cloud Engineering role. - Or equivalent combination of education and experience. Requirements - Subject matter expert in cloud platforms and DevOps deployment techniques. - Experience creating complex solutions in Microsoft Azure. - Strong background in managing version control systems, such as Git. - Experience managing CI/CD platforms, such as Azure DevOps and GitHub. - Experience with automated configuration management and deployment tools. - Experience developing infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform. - Design and implement complex networking solutions across cloud and on-premises systems. - Familiarity working with a structured ITIL change/problem management process. - Broad range of programming/scripting experience. - Experience with technologies to create and manage virtual development environments. - Strong background with containerization and Kubernetes. - Demonstrated ability to organize and lead complex cross-team initiatives to successful outcomes. - Strong team-oriented and collaborative skills. - Demonstrated strategic and critical analysis skills. - Experience managing and deploying AI solutions a plus. - Background working in a multi-platform environment (Linux, Windows). - Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. • Design, implement, and evolve cloud-native platforms aimed at accelerating software delivery at scale; • Develop and maintain an Internal Developer Platform (IDP), enabling secure and efficient self-service for development teams; • Create and evolve Golden Paths for standardized provisioning of applications, infrastructure, environments, and pipelines; • Administer and scale multi-cluster Kubernetes environments across multiple cloud providers, ensuring availability, security, and performance; • Implement and maintain GitOps practices using tools such as ArgoCD, Argo Rollouts, and Kargo; • Automate infrastructure through Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, Terragrunt, and Crossplane; • Develop and maintain reusable CI/CD templates, promoting standardization and governance of continuous delivery processes; • Implement and manage API Management and Service Mesh solutions for distributed environments and modern architectures; • Integrate authentication, authorization, and identity management mechanisms using modern IAM standards; • Define and disseminate security, governance, compliance standards, and best practices for cloud environments; • Build and evolve observability, monitoring, traceability, and troubleshooting solutions for platforms; • Participate in FinOps initiatives, monitoring and proposing cost optimizations in multi-cloud environments; • Lead modernization efforts for legacy applications toward cloud-native and microservices architectures; • Support development teams in adopting Platform Engineering, DevSecOps, and Developer Experience (DevEx) practices; • Serve as a technical reference for platform architecture, promoting continuous improvement, knowledge sharing, and the definition of corporate standards.
