Role Description Builders FirstSource (BFS) is embarking on a multi-year business transformation that will enable us to outperform our competition and enable industry transformation. In connection with this initiative, BFS will harmonize our core operations on SAP S/4HANA Private Cloud. The Senior Business Analyst of SAP Financials should be a subject matter expert for Record to Report (RTR) with a concentration on the Accounts Payable (AP), Vendor Invoice Management (VIM - OpenText), and Tax (Vertex) sub workstream. In this role, you will work with cross-functional teams to address and ensure quality solutions ultimately influencing individuals within and outside the IT department and making a significant impact on our business. The candidate will be responsible for the design, configuration, implementation, testing and control of the financial systems and applications. While the focus is on AP and VIM, responsibilities could involve other areas of RTR including: - Accounts Receivable (Serrala – Cash Application) - Treasury - General Ledger - Fixed Assets - Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) - Portfolio & Project Management (PPM) - Project Systems Essential duties and responsibilities include: - Analysis of SAP Financial processes, including configuration, integration, customization, master data, and reporting with an emphasis on SAP S/4HANA Accounts Payable, Open Text (Vendor Invoice Management), and Tax (Vertex). - Design, develop, and deploy custom solutions within OpenText VIM to support document management, content management, and business process automation. - Modify and extend existing VIM functionality to integrate with other OpenText products, external systems, and third-party applications. - Perform business process analysis and translate business requirements into workable SAP solutions and/or functional designs for specific projects and changes, including development. - Write functional analyses for SAP financial programs. Develop and execute functional (integration) test scripts. - Work closely with process teams to facilitate project progress and ensure integrated system solutions. - Collaborate with business stakeholders to ensure smooth integration of SAP FI-AP with other enterprise systems. - Collaborate with other cross functional leaders on business-driven IT initiatives, including enhancements and technical upgrades. - Provide implementation support, preparing the business for system solutions. - Demonstrate the ability to solve problems that allow for effective and timely resolution of system issues including but not limited to production outages. - Apply design thinking and/or process redesign principles to develop innovative solutions that enhance the end-user experience across financial solutions, incorporating user feedback and insights to ensure a user-centered approach. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting related field. - 7-9 years of experience of overseeing configuration of SAP Financials. - Multiple full-life cycle SAP implementations (ECC 6.0 or S/4HANA). - Strong experience with designing, configuring and supporting the following RTR areas within SAP is a must: - Accounts Payable (In-depth knowledge of the SAP S/4HANA Accounts Payable module, including invoice processing, payment runs, vendor management, taxation and integration with other financial modules). - OpenText VIM (configuring, maintaining, and enhancing the system including invoice capture, OCR integration & indexing, ensuring smooth document management workflows, and delivering best practices for OpenText VIM implementations). - Vertex (Configuring, maintaining, and enhancing the system). - Experience with 3rd Party Tax solutions (Vertex or similar application) is a must. - Proficiency in creating queries or reports for AP related reporting. - Knowledge of integration with other SAP modules (MM, SD….) is a must. - Strong experience with IDoc processing and working knowledge of BAPI’s & BADI’s. - Experience with SAP Ariba or SAP Project Systems will be a plus. - Or equivalent combination of education and experience. Role Description Manager, IT- Data Engineering role is focused on the core areas of: - Development activities involving projects, enhancements, defects. - Day-to-day operations to ensure business continuity, which also involves managing nightly support for ETL runs. - Team building and performance management involving a team of data engineers. - Lead and manage the team through the transition to cloud based future data platform. This role will be responsible for intimately overseeing data engineering activities related to development (SDLC) and release management. These responsibilities require deep understanding of data design and solutioning and architecture. This role will also drive day-to-day maintenance and upkeep of existing code base and ETL solutions and managing resources who provide nightly support for ETL runs. Finally, Manager IT – Data Engineering will be accountable for continuing performance management, delegation of tasks and accountability, mentorship, and growth of data engineering resources on the team. One key function of this role is liaising with downstream consumers of our data system as well as other technical teams who are either upstream (ERP source systems), downstream (consumer applications, reporting team, business analytics team) or simply provide underlying platform services (infrastructure) to Data Engineering practice. This role is expected to have deep understanding of the various technical aspects of data systems like Data Lake, Operational Datastore, Data Marts and Warehouses as well as hands on familiarity with ERP data topics (customer, sales and invoicing, supplier etc.). Having hands-on experience with cloud-based systems and technologies like Azure Subscriptions, Azure Databricks, Azure DevOps CICD in terms of development and day-to-day operations is critical to function in this role. Any exposure to Terraform is highly desirable. Azure and Databricks Certifications are highly desirable. The Director, IT – Software Engineering is accountable for the strategy, delivery, and operational health of Builders FirstSource’s Commercial Operations application portfolio. This includes SAP Order to Cash, Retail, Pricing, Rebates, Commissions systems and customer facing digital platforms. This role partners closely with Commercial, Finance, Supply Chain, Retail, and Digital leadership to ensure technology solutions enable business strategy, improve customer experience, and scale with future growth. As a senior IT leader, this role sets direction for architecture, integration, delivery standards, and team performance. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - Owns the Commercial Operations application portfolio, including SAP SD / OTC, Pricing, Rebates, Commissions, Retail, and Pricing platforms. - Develops and maintains the multi‑year Commercial Applications roadmap aligned to BFS and Digital business strategies. - Leads other leaders of teams, working on large features from technical design through completion​, ensuring ability to deliver complex or multi-year projects. - Actively participates in the definition and implementation of the enterprise-wide IT and software development strategy, leading subcomponents through design and implementation. - Leads and provides strategic guidance for large and/or complex projects from requirements to completion​. - Manages product and/or system level tradeoffs and design decisions to drive quality and consistency; updates team priorities as appropriate​. - Serves as a trusted technology partner to Commercial, Marketing, Retail, and Digital leaders. - Ensures efficient, reliable integrations using middleware platforms (e.g., MuleSoft) and cloud services (preferably Azure). - Collaborates with Enterprise Architecture and peer IT leaders to ensure solutions are cohesive and not siloed. - Deeply understands BFS customer and stakeholder needs and prioritizes usability and customer experience. - Develops plans to improve service delivery outcomes; provides guidance and expertise on the steps required to close gaps and ensure results are achieved. - Develops strong strategic partnership with mid to senior level business and client stakeholders. - Guides the balance of the technical investment and the adoption/ reuse of the existing systems and tooling within group; elevates tradeoffs and gains. - Contributes to and maintains processes and standards (e.g., for design reviews, security, and testing)​. - Evaluates and resolves technical feasibility, design and security optimization, production issues and ensures technical quality throughout the development process. - Identifies and establishes best practices for software engineering and development methodologies and tools. - Leads the coordination with vendors and other third-party resources and works to resolve any escalated issues regarding quality standards. - Works multi-functionally to define, drive, and deliver key projects in timely manner.
