• 100% remote | Deployment in Münster and surrounding area • As a Service Technician / Mechatronics Technician (m/f/d) you ensure that our specialized laboratory and device systems at customer sites in the Münsterland region operate reliably at all times. • You are the central point of contact for all technical matters and ensure systems run stably while minimizing downtime. • You combine technical expertise with direct customer contact—both remotely and on-site. • You assume full technical responsibility for customers in the greater Münster area and ensure systems operate reliably and stably. • As the main contact person you support the customer in daily operations and assist with all technical questions. • You independently carry out installations and commissioning and bring new systems safely online. • You plan maintenance and service calls independently and execute them efficiently. • In case of faults you investigate root causes in a structured manner and find long-term solutions—both remotely and on-site. • You perform repairs and troubleshooting in a targeted and responsible manner. • In addition, you actively ensure smooth and continuous operation of the systems. • You keep track of system conditions at all times, detect anomalies early and prevent unplanned outages. • You derive preventive service activities from system data and implement them accordingly. • In critical situations you provide on-site emergency support, analyze problems quickly and coordinate next steps with the Service Headquarter. • You maintain close communication with the Service Headquarter and report in a structured way on system status, ongoing issues and potential escalations. • For complex issues you work closely with internal specialist departments and actively contribute your expertise.
Job Requirements
- A completed vocational training qualification in electrical engineering, mechatronics, mechanics or a comparable technical qualification forms your foundation
- Alternatively, you have built your know-how through practical experience in technical service or device manufacturing
- You are confident in technical support—ideally you have experience with remote tools or remote diagnostic systems
- Ticketing systems or remote maintenance tools are familiar to you, or you are quick to learn new tools
- You enjoy direct customer contact and present yourself confidently and service-oriented
- You remain calm in demanding situations, react flexibly and take responsibility—e.g. for emergency calls or on-call duty
- Very good German and good English skills are used confidently in your daily work
- Your working style is structured, independent and solution-oriented
- At the same time you are a team player, reliable and proactive
- You are proficient in MS Office in your daily work
- A driving license class B completes your profile

Role Description As a Field Application Engineer (FAE), you will play a key role within AMD’s Embedded Technical Sales team, supporting customers across the Nordic region. You’ll work at the forefront of adaptive computing technologies (FPGA, SoC, and x86), partnering directly with leading companies across industries such as Industrial, Datacenter, Robotics, Healthcare, and Aerospace & Defense.
