We work with clients across the entire project life cycle - from initial planning studies through final construction and operations and maintenance services - on both traditional and alternative project-delivery options (design-build, public-private partnerships and financing). We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Water Resources professional to join our South-East Queensland Water Resources team. By joining our team, you will work on the most transformative projects and have access to mentoring and guidance from our industry-leading specialists. You will also be provided with opportunities to collaborate across interstate and international offices as part of the broader Water Resources sector. With AECOM's flexibility, you can base yourself in either our Brisbane or Gold Coast office. AECOM isn''t chasing one-off flood studies or small drainage packages. Our team is sitting on long-term framework agreements and major infrastructure programs across Queensland, particularly in SEQ where population growth, climate resilience and water security are driving investment. Some recent appointments include partnerships with major utilities, creating a substantial pipeline of water infrastructure, planning and resilience work for years to come. The qualities that help you thrive - Tertiary qualifications in a relevant Engineering discipline, Water Resource Management, or Environmental Science/Hydrology, with RPEV / CPEng (or working towards) highly regarded, and ideally 5+ years of relevant professional experience - Demonstrated experience with water resource modelling and design tools such as TUFLOW, DRAINS, HEC‑RAS (1D and 2D), RORB, XPRAFTS, and URBS. - Strong working knowledge of industry standards and guidelines such as ARR 2019, QUDM, TMR manual and AustRoads. - Strong client focus with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to build rapport and collaborate effectively with a range of stakeholders. - Highly motivated and adaptable, with the ability to work both independently and within teams, and contribute effectively to projects with competing priorities and deadlines.
