Significance Inc. is seeking a Travel Program Specialist to join our growing team at HHS</strong>. This is a hybrid role supporting HHS's Rockville, MD location. The Travel Program Specialist is a full-time role responsible for managing and executing all travel-related tasks for the organization. This individual will serve as the primary liaison for all travel needs, ensuring a seamless and efficient travel experience for all employees. The role involves a wide range of responsibilities, from setting up traveler profiles and managing travel credit cards to ensuring compliance with all travel policies and regulations. This position requires meticulous attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to provide exceptional support to travelers. Primary Responsibilities &bull; Set up or update traveler profiles in the travel system using provided information. &bull; Create, maintain, and manage standard and complex travel authorizations and vouchers. &bull; Provide proactive trip planning support, including early coordination with staff, advance teams, and approving officials. &bull; Manage all aspects of government travel cards (IBA/CBA), including setup, maintenance, reconciliation, and issue resolution. &bull; Serve as the primary liaison with GSA SmartPay and Citibank, managing program updates and resolving issues. &bull; Ensure adherence to all GSA SmartPay Program policies, procedures, and federal travel regulations. &bull; Provide guidance on Federal Travel Regulation (FTR) and HHS Travel Policy during traveler interactions. &bull; Manage the travel support inbox, including triage, prioritization, and follow-up. &bull; Generate constructed travel cost comparisons and complete necessary forms for deviated travel. &bull; Conduct comprehensive reviews of travel options to ensure compliance and alignment with mission needs. &bull; Provide robust voucher support, including proactive receipt collection and follow-up on justifications. &bull; Maintain detailed audit-trail documentation for all travel circumstances. &bull; Monitor travel document status and proactively address any delays. &bull; Track and report monthly work performed by major support category. Required Skills: &bull; Proven experience in a travel coordination or support role, preferably within a government or corporate environment. &bull; Strong familiarity with travel management systems (ETS or similar). &bull; Experience managing corporate or government travel card programs (IBA/CBA). &bull; In-depth knowledge of federal travel regulations (FTR, JTR) and travel policies. &bull; Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. &bull; Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle travel-related issues such as declines, disputes, and last-minute changes. &bull; Proficiency with Citibank/Citimanager systems is highly desirable. &bull; Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on providing excellent customer service. &bull; Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook). Qualifications & Education &bull; 3&ndash;5+ years of experience in travel program management or a similar role. &bull; Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. &bull; Ability to support federal compliance requirements (ATO, security standards). Desired Skills & Attributes: &bull; Experience working in a federal or highly regulated environment. &bull; Familiarity with financial or ERP systems. &bull; Experience with event-driven architecture and messaging services. &bull; Experience providing support for high-level executives or VIPs. &bull; Ability to conduct training and onboarding for new travelers. &bull; Experience in creating reports and analyzing travel data to identify trends and recommend process improvements. $105,000 - $115,000 a year At Significance, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package and is determined within a range. Our pay ranges are based on the local cost of labor benchmarks for each specific role, level, and geographic location.
