Role Description UNICEF is requesting the consultant to initiate a comprehensive programme of advanced secondary analyses that goes beyond descriptive reporting, which is to date available in most national reports, with the objective of generating actionable evidence to inform nutrition policies, strategic choices, and programme implementation in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). This work responds to the growing availability of high-quality national datasets and programmatic information, alongside the urgent need to better leverage these data to accelerate progress under the National Multisectoral Nutrition Strategic Plan 2023-2030. To this end, the consultant will contribute to the development of a thematic supplement, coordinated by guest editors from UNICEF and government entities, bringing together cutting-edge analytical work and implementation-focused evidence. Qualifications - PHD in Food and sciences - Nutrition and health - Biostatistics - Fluency in French & English, both written and spoken Requirements - At least 10 years of professional experience in conducting secondary and geospatial analyses of large-scale surveys (National Nutrition Survey, MICS, DHS). - Proven work experience in nutrition programs, food security, and health. - Experience in developing policies and actionable implementation plans. - Proven practical experience in GIS or similar work in developing countries is essential. - Excellent analytical, synthesis, and writing skills. - Knowledge and understanding of the global nutrition context, particularly complementary feeding, dietary intake assessment, micronutrients, food systems, and management of acute malnutrition programs. - Ability to work closely with government bodies with tact and diplomacy. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), STATA, R software, and the R-INLA package. - Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team, as well as independently with minimal supervision. Desirables - Knowledge of the health system in the Democratic Republic of Congo is an asset. - Experience in the Democratic Republic of Congo is an asset. • Design, build, and maintain AI-enabled internal platforms, tools, and integrations supporting cybersecurity compliance operations, client delivery, sales operations, reporting, and governance workflows. • Develop intelligent automation solutions leveraging platforms such as ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, APIs, workflow orchestration tools, and low-code/no-code automation systems to improve operational scalability and reduce manual effort. • Assist in the design and enhancement of GRC workflows related to frameworks such as CMMC, NIST, ISO 27001, SOC 2, PCI DSS, FedRAMP, and related cybersecurity compliance initiatives. • Create and optimize AI prompts, agent workflows, retrieval systems, and contextual knowledge structures to support operational and client-facing use cases. • Develop dashboards, reporting tools, analytics workflows, and AI-assisted insights using operational data from systems such as HubSpot, Monday.com, Ninety.io, Jira, and other enterprise platforms. • Ensure AI solutions align with organizational security requirements, confidentiality expectations, data governance standards, and applicable compliance obligations. • Partner with leadership, operations, PMO, HR, sales, compliance, and technical teams to identify opportunities for AI-driven improvement and operational modernization.
