Assistant Controller
Orbital Engineering, Inc.
• Support the accounting and financial operations of Orbital Engineering, Inc., Valve48, and EIP • Manage day-to-day accounting activities, financial reporting, budgeting, month-end close, and compliance across multiple entities • Ensure accurate financial records, strong internal controls, and adherence to generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) • Assist with the day-to-day accounting and financial operations • Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and analysis of operating results against budget • Help maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls • Support compliance with local, state, and federal reporting requirements • Coordinate with external auditors and assist with audit preparation and related documentation • Partner with operational leaders to provide financial information and support business decision-making • Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, reporting, and operational efficiencies • Assist with cash flow monitoring and financial planning activities • Support the development and mentoring of accounting staff as the department grows
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university
- Finance or Accounting degree is preferred
- Five to ten years of experience in a senior level finance or accounting position
- CPA is preferred
- Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
- Knowledge of automated financial and accounting reporting systems
- Knowledge of federal and state financial regulations
- Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements and projections
- Ability to motivate teams to produce quality materials within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage several projects
- Ability to participate in and facilitate group meetings
- Work requires willingness to work a flexible schedule.

Role Description In this role you will: - Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules. - Maintain the general ledger and ensure accuracy of financial data across departments. - Support the preparation of internal financial reports, forecasting processes, and variance analyses. - Lead US payroll processing, ensuring timely and accurate payroll runs, in coordination with our PEO and internal stakeholders. - Work closely with our PEO on all finance-related matters, including benefits reporting, payroll adjustments, and compliance. - Manage state and local tax filings and registrations where self-service is required. - Act as a finance partner to our Employer of Record (EOR) and other external providers supporting our global workforce. - Support the design, administration, and analysis of incentive compensation plans across multiple functions, including Sales, Customer Success, and other GTM teams. - Partner closely with RevOps and business stakeholders on Salesforce-related processes, data quality, reporting, and operational workflows. - Collaborate with Marketing to analyze performance metrics, campaign effectiveness, ROI, and key business KPIs. - Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, Operations, People, Revenue, RevOps, and Marketing teams to support data-driven decision making and operational excellence. Role Description We’re looking for a Business Unit Controller to build and drive our Tesco and One Stop Accounts with AG Barr, primarily focusing on our Soft Drinks portfolio. As Tesco Business Unit Controller, you will be leading one of our most important accounts within the business and will build and implement a long term strategy, anchored around commercial and category growth in partnership with Tesco.
