IT Field Support Specialist

Veterinary Emergency Group

• Partner with IT teams, senior leadership, and hospital and regional leaders to understand hospital needs, resolve escalations, and keep operations running smoothly. • Support departmental and business initiatives by aligning stakeholders, prioritizing work, and helping ensure strong execution across your region. • Represent IT with professionalism, care, and a service-first mindset when supporting VEGgies, customers, and hospital teams. • Help protect VEG systems by coordinating and implementing operational measures that support secure, reliable data, software, hardware, and infrastructure. • Work with local teams to review project plans, finalize technology specifications, and support infrastructure projects, hospital upgrades, and new hospital openings. • Recommend and implement streamlined hospital technology, best practices, and continuous IT improvements, while helping hire Field Service resources as needed to maintain exceptional support.

Job Requirements

  • 1–2 years of technical help desk or IT support experience, with the ability to apply general technology processes, tools, and best practices in a hospital environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of Apple products and macOS, with network experience, construction-related industry experience, or hospital buildout support as a plus.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to partner confidently with VEGgies, IT teams, hospital leaders, vendors, and other partners inside and outside the organization.
  • Strong organization and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks or projects, adapt to shifting priorities, and stay flexible when timelines change.
  • A self-starter mindset: dependable, eager to learn new technology quickly, comfortable working independently, and collaborative in a team environment.
  • Ability to mentor or coach future team members as needed, while also being able to physically move, handle, and lift computer equipment up to 50 pounds.
