ContractRemoteTeam 51-200

Role Description We're looking for a freelance graphic designer to help our work look as good as it reads. You'll take complex, often unglamorous B2B material (data, frameworks, research findings) and turn it into design people actually want to look at, across both digital and print. Most of what we produce is for clients, so you'll be working inside their brand guidelines as often as ours. One week you might be laying out a print magazine with our editorial team; the next you're turning a messy sketch into a clean diagram, or designing a research report that a CMO will actually share. This is a contract, fully remote role. We run on autonomy, so you'll own your projects end to end and we'll stay out of your way, as long as the work is great and you keep us in the loop. What you'll work on - Design report and ebook PDFs (whitepapers, research reports, ebooks) that hold up to both the client's brand standards and ours. - Turn data into visuals that make the insight obvious, not just the chart pretty. - Build custom diagrams from rough sketches, taking a half-formed concept and making it land in a single look. - Lead print magazine design, partnering with our editorial team on layouts worth keeping. - Create social and digital assets that stay consistent across a client's channels. - Run several projects at once and ship them on time without us having to chase you. - Work closely with marketers, writers, and editors so the design and the words pull in the same direction. Qualifications - You have a portfolio that shows range across digital (social, web assets) and even print (magazines, reports). - You know Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop) and Figma. - You sweat the details and can take a rough idea all the way to a polished, professional piece. - You take feedback well and turn it into better work, not just edits. - You juggle multiple deadlines without the quality slipping. - You actually like working with cross-functional teams, and you get that design serves the strategy, not the other way around. - You're self-directed. You set your own schedule, own your projects, and flag where things stand before anyone has to ask. - You learn as you go, ask for help when you need it, and offer it when someone else does. - You're not an asshole. We spend a lot of our days engaging with team members and clients. There's no room for assholes. You're friendly, eager to jump in and take ownership, and love to work as a team to be successful. Benefits - Real autonomy. - You manage your own time and your own projects. We hire people we don't have to manage. - Interesting problems. - B2B doesn't have to be boring. You'll get to make dry, technical material genuinely good-looking. - Sharp collaborators. - Our editorial and strategy teams have done this at companies like HubSpot, Shopify, and Workato, and they care about the work. - Remote, always. - Work from wherever you want. How our hiring process works We review applications on a rolling basis and aim to get back to you within a few weeks, though it can sometimes take a little longer. If it looks like a fit, we'll reach out by email, and depending on your experience, we may start with a small test project. Equal Opportunity Employer Omniscient Digital is an equal opportunity employer. We ensure equal opportunity, and all candidates are considered without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, age, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, marital status, ancestry, physical or mental disability, veteran status, or any other legally protected characteristics.

Role Description As a Senior User Experience Designer with a focus on Conversational AI, you bring strong UX fundamentals, deep experience in conversation or service design, and a rigorous approach to user research. You will play a key role in shaping how AI powered employee experiences behave in real world contexts, using research, experimentation, and design judgement to define experiences that are useful, trustworthy, and human centred. This role is especially suited to someone who is confident operating in ambiguous and emerging problem spaces. You will not simply design flows after requirements are defined. You will help discover the right problems to solve, uncover user needs, explore behavioural patterns, identify opportunity areas, and translate research insights into clear conversational experience strategies. You will be responsible for defining ideal conversational flows across a range of use cases, including: - Understanding how effective AI assistants respond - Asking follow-up questions - Clarifying intent - Recovering from mistakes - Explaining uncertainty - Escalating to humans - Maintaining context across an interaction Your work may include: - Flowcharts - Scripts - Conversation models - Research synthesis - Service blueprints - Storyboards - Prototypes - Experience principles You may come from a traditional UX design background, or from adjacent fields such as conversation design, content design, service design, customer experience, or user research. What matters most is demonstrated experience shaping AI driven experiences in practice, grounding design decisions in evidence, and influencing cross functional teams through clear insight, storytelling, and design rationale. Qualifications - 7+ years of experience in UX design, conversation design, service design, user research, content design, customer experience, or a related field. - Demonstrated experience conducting or leading user research, including planning studies, speaking directly with users, synthesizing findings, and turning insights into design direction. - Experience defining conversational or AI driven experiences, including multi turn interactions, clarification paths, recovery strategies, and escalation models. - Experience working on AI, NLU, LLM based, automation, or complex decision support products is strongly preferred. - Strong ability to translate ambiguous problems into clear research questions, design hypotheses, experience principles, and actionable recommendations. - Ability to create artefacts such as research plans, interview guides, synthesis maps, journey maps, service blueprints, conversation flows, scripts, prototypes, and storyboards. - Familiarity with online collaboration tools such as Miro and FigJam. - Strong communication skills, including the ability to articulate conversational experiences visually and verbally, explain decision making, and communicate trade offs to cross functional stakeholders. - History of collaborating with product, engineering, research, data, and AI teams to deliver complex experiences or features. - A portfolio that demonstrates strong UX thinking, research informed decision making, conversational or service design capability, and experience working through ambiguity. Requirements - Lead and contribute to user research activities that uncover needs, behaviours, pain points, mental models, and opportunities for AI powered employee experiences. - Plan and conduct research using methods such as interviews, usability testing, workflow analysis, conversation analysis, diary studies, concept testing, competitive reviews, and prototype evaluation. - Synthesize research findings into clear insights, opportunity areas, design principles, and actionable recommendations for product, engineering, AI, and design partners. - Use research to shape product direction, not just validate design solutions. - Design how AI systems behave in real user interactions, including response patterns, multi turn flows, clarification strategies, recovery paths, escalation moments, and context aware behaviours. - Define conversational models, scripts, prompts, interaction patterns, and experience frameworks that describe how AI assistants should respond across different situations. - Consider tone, trust, transparency, user control, error handling, and human handoff as core parts of the experience. - Help define what good looks like for agentic experiences, including how they support user goals, reduce cognitive effort, explain recommendations, and work alongside human users. - Explore emerging AI interaction patterns and translate them into practical experience guidance for the team. - Partner with product and technical teams to understand AI capabilities, constraints, risks, and trade offs, then turn that understanding into better user experiences. - Operate effectively in ambiguous, fast moving environments where user needs, business priorities, and AI capabilities are still evolving. - Take ownership of complex problem areas with moderate to limited supervision. - Make thoughtful decisions with incomplete information, identify where more research is needed, and clearly communicate assumptions, risks, and trade offs. - Work closely with product managers, engineers, AI partners, researchers, and other designers to shape experiences that are both technically feasible and user centred. - Influence product direction through research insights, strong design rationale, clear storytelling, and well structured artefacts. - Facilitate discussions, critiques, and workshops that help teams align around user needs, experience principles, and design decisions. - Contribute to evolving best practices for designing, researching, and evaluating AI powered experiences across Genesys. - Participate in sprint planning, design reviews, critiques, research readouts, and cross functional planning sessions. - Help raise the quality of conversational AI design by sharing patterns, principles, examples, and learnings with the wider design organisation. Benefits - Flexible work options – Choose what works for you with hybrid schedules, work-from-home flexibility, and the option to collaborate onsite in our state-of-the-art Galway office. - Career development & growth – Access continuous learning opportunities, mentoring, and clear paths for advancement. - Competitive pension scheme – Invest in your future with an excellent employer-supported pension plan. - Annual bonus program – Be rewarded for your impact and contributions. - Comprehensive health coverage – Including private health insurance, access to company dental plan, and wellness supports. - Financial protection – Enjoy Income Protection and Life Assurance, along with access to dedicated financial planning resources to help you make confident, informed decisions about your future. - Family-friendly policies – Generous paid maternity and paternity leave, along with supportive leave options designed for every stage of life.
