In this role, your primary focus will be to support Infrastructure Level 2 Operations with primary focus on Windows and Unix Server technologies and methodologies, which will have a heavy emphasis on automation and a hybrid cloud environment, while maintaining operational excellence in multiple world class Data Center environments. Job Responsibility: - Provide L2 support in incident, request, change and problem management related to server and DB operations in Windows and Unix operating systems. - Provide L2 support and participate in Major incidents. - Ensure SLA for incidents and service requests are met with high quality of work. - Ensure KPIs, such as breach case target, MTTR and escalation target is met. - Install and upgrade firmware for hardware and operating systems, apply patches and implement changes when required. - Diagnose and solve OS/hardware errors ensuring high availability of MFG systems. - Monitor server performance proactively and perform analysis of cases to prevent recurring issues. - Enhance monitoring/alerting to reduce noise and recurrences. - Develop processes and operation procedures related to server operations. - Create and manage reports, visualizations, and dashboards related to windows/unix operations. - Perform capacity planning and participate in Disaster Recovery drills. - Work with Subject Matter experts (Level 3) for improvement projects to ensure security, availability, performance, interoperability and reliability of Micron's core computing resources. - Build/maintain automation for system health checks and routine maintenance. - Leverage Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies to enhance business processes, including developing and implementing AI-driven solutions to improve efficiency, accuracy, and operating as a culture vanguard towards infusing AI into everyday work. Requirement: - Bachelor's or Master's degree Computer Science, Electrical & Electronics/Computer/Software Engineering, Information Systems or related fields. - Academic know-how or internship experiences in the infrastructure domain of IT (Microsoft Windows 2019, 2016 and RHEL operating systems, Microsoft SQL and Oracle) and virtualization technologies! - Desire to learn hardware and virtualization technologies like Cisco UCS, HPE ProLiant, VMware, Nutanix, OpenShift and Citrix - Certifications from Microsoft, VMWare, Citrix and Cisco and familiarity with scripting languages will be an added advantage - Knowledge in programming and scripting languages such as Java, PowerShell and Python is preferred! - Effective oral and written communication skills - Flexible to work on 12 hours shift. Role Description The Engineer is responsible for designing, programming, installing, and testing SCADA and plant control systems for solar, solar and storage, and other hybrid plants. The system must integrate multiple sub-systems of the renewable plant to meet the operational and regulatory needs of the owner and the grid operator. The Engineer will: - Develop and implement logic for complex custom applications. - Capture client requirements for the system. - Coordinate with clients and contractors. - Perform testing and develop HMI screens. - Ensure continuous improvement and operational excellence for controls and controls-related systems and equipment. - Aim for a zero-failure rate, eliminate single points of failure, and achieve aggressive targets for uptime and reliability.
