Role Description As a Senior Network Engineer, you will be a key member of our Network Operations Team, working alongside world-class engineers to operate and evolve GoDaddy’s global network infrastructure. This role is ideal for a self-motivated professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys solving complex problems, and is passionate about driving operational excellence and innovation. - Deploy, configure, and support a multi-vendor network infrastructure in data centers, large enterprise campus environments, and corporate sites globally (routers, switches, firewalls, hardware load-balancers). - Provide Tier 2/3 troubleshooting support for complex hosting and enterprise network environments, independently analyzing and resolving diverse technical challenges. - Participate in an after-hours on-call rotation, responding to network events, incident investigations, and remediation efforts. - Collaborate with Network and Security Architects, Software Developers, Server and Platform Engineers, and Data Center Operations to deliver robust network solutions. - Contribute to the development and improvement of processes, procedures, and network design standards to enhance team efficiency and network availability. - Mentor and support junior engineers, sharing knowledge and best practices. - Participate in architectural reviews and provide feedback to ensure operational reliability. Qualifications - 4+ years of experience as a Network Engineer. - Experience with OSPF, BGP, MPLS, and related routing/switching protocols in carrier and hosting environments. - Knowledge of different OS: IOS, IOS-XR, and NX-OS; Cisco Catalyst & Nexus switches, Arista data center switches, and Juniper routers/firewalls. - Proficiency with network management/monitoring tools (e.g., SNMP, gNMI, RANCID, Elasticsearch, Selector AI). - Experience with scripting or programming languages (Python preferred) and version control systems (e.g., GIT, API integrations, shell commands and directory structure, familiarity with IDEs like Visual Studio Code or similar). Requirements - CCNP or JNCIS certification or equivalent experience preferred. - Networks with senior internal and external personnel in own area of expertise. - Routinely uses version control and scripting to automate tasks and improve team velocity.
