• Manage the overall goal plan for the assigned geography • Develop individual prospects by working with the GPO sellers and manage the sales pipeline from identification through closing the sale • Facilitate and manage national pipeline by working with US Foods and GPO sellers • Provide appropriate communication/education to all field and Rosemont staff to assure understanding of contract elements and service excellence for all GPO members and regional customers assigned to the individual • Develop and execute strategies and tactics that will drive results and strengthen customer business relationships by understanding and responding to customer and market strategic requirements • Develop and execute strategies and tactics that will drive sales result and achieve targeted sales plan within the GPO agreement • Prepare RFP responses and participate in customer presentations for targeted accounts • Track performance and develop action plans to achieve planned performance • Develop strong working relationships with the assigned GPO sales team and leadership by interacting with them on a regular basis • Build strong collaborative relationships with field sellers and National Sales Leadership that will drive sales results • Develop strong customer relationships at field and corporate level with key customers • Manage the relevant communication and education to field, sales personnel and Support Office staff to assure understanding of contract elements and business objectives to provide service excellence for market segment • Identify and drive organizational alignment and resources to support value proposition and closing sales to include ROCs, Finance, Operations, Merchandising, GPO Support teams and Logistics
Job Requirements
- Bachelor degree in related field or comparable experience required
- Minimum 7 years foodservice sales experience required
- 3 to 5 years of experience in the successful management and development of a team
- Demonstrated positive customer interfacing experience also required
- Prior national account/healthcare experience preferred
- Experience dealing with large regional or national multi-location chains strongly desired
