Role Overview: The Senior Sales Representative role is a key part of our New York Life Group BenefitSolutions distribution organization that focuses on growth of the organization bydeveloping highly productive producer relationships, selling new business, andassisting with the persistency of our inforce clients. In addition, the Senior Sales Representative is responsible for partnering with other Field Officeroles to drive proactive growth (upselling and cross selling) and the profitable retention of lnforce Clients. We are seeking a candidate who is a self-starter who likes building relationships and driving profitable sales results in a fast-paced environment. ** Strong preference for candidates located in Northern and Central New Jersey. ** What You'll Do: • Develop strong business relationships with brokers and consultants in your assigned area to drive quote activity and new business. • Collaborate with internal and external partners to identify and secure growth opportunities, ensuring smooth implementation. • Handle routine to moderately complex issues with a proactive and assertive approach. • Build and maintain relationships across different departments within the organization. • Independently and collaboratively achieve goals and objectives. • Manage multiple tasks efficiently, prioritizing as needed. • Serve as a knowledgeable local market resource on insurance products and industry changes. • Ensure an exceptional experience for clients and brokers. • Maintain an acceptable driving record. • Drive new business through sourcing RFPs, working with underwriting, and delivering proposals. • Meet or exceed annual business targets for new business premiums and case counts. • Maintain consistent broker outreach and quote activity. • Develop and sustain strong broker and consultant relationships. • Oversee the sales process for Life, Accident, Disability, Absence Management, and Supplemental Health products. • Work with service partners to optimize upselling opportunities and achieve retention goals. • Participate in renewals, including underwriting negotiations and presentations. • Attend industry events to expand knowledge and relationships. • Maintain compliance tracking as needed. • Engage in training and mentor new hires. • Contribute to special projects and suggest process improvements. • Operate in a way that supports team and individual success. • Uphold honesty and respect in all interactions. • Communicate effectively to enhance productivity and relationships.
