Network Testing Engineer

• Execute predefined service test cases for Voice, Data, and Transport networks • Support regression testing and basic post‑execution validation • Capture logs, traces, and packet captures under guidance • Perform basic analysis of logs and protocol traces to identify failures or anomalies • Assist in defect reproduction and validation • Update test execution status, results, and reports • Coordinate with onsite teams for test handover, execution windows, and updates • Learn to handle multiple test executions with proper prioritization • Follow defined test processes, documentation, and quality standards
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with 2-3 experience in telecom network operations
- Good understanding of telecom or computer networking concepts
- Knowledge of IP networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, OSI layers, DNS, routing basics)
- Strong interest in telecom services, network testing, or service assurance
- Good communication and documentation skills
- Collaborating with offshore–onsite teams across different time zones
- Familiarity with packet analysis tools such as Wireshark or tcpdump
- Basic understanding of VoIP, SIP, or network call flows
- Exposure to ticketing or test management tools (Jira, ALM, HP QC)
- Basic Linux commands or working knowledge of remote environments (VPN, jump servers)
- Awareness of automation, Python basics, or CI/CD concepts
- Interest in network troubleshooting and protocol-level analysis
