Senior Licensing Product Operations Expert

Hewlett Packard Enterprise

• Own and lead complex operational domains supporting software licensing and entitlement execution for HPE Networking products. • Partner closely with Networking Product Line Managers across Juniper, Aruba, and Mist portfolios. • Translate product and licensing requirements into operational workflows and system requirements within licensing and supply chain platforms. • Serve as a subject-matter expert on software licensing behaviors, including subscriptions, entitlements, renewals, and product-specific nuances. • Act as an escalation point for complex or non-standard licensing issues, applying sound judgment to balance risk, customer impact, and scalability. • Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, Sales Operations, Finance, IT, and Supply Chain teams to ensure end-to-end alignment. • Identify operational gaps and leverage AI and automation to scale operations, drive process improvements, and reduce manual effort. • Provide informal mentorship and contribute to documentation, standard operating procedures, and readiness efforts. • Set up, test, and deliver licensing and fulfillment solutions for new product introductions, incremental SKU requirements, and new or enhanced product capabilities.

Job Requirements

  • Significant experience in business operations, licensing operations, or software-related operational environments.
  • Strong understanding of software licensing concepts such as subscriptions, entitlements, renewals, and co-terming.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with Product Line Managers and translate product knowledge into operational execution; a background in Product Line Management is a plus.
  • Familiarity with HPE software licensing and supply chain systems and processes, including SAP-based order and fulfillment environments and Juniper Agile Licensing (JAL).
  • Proven success as a senior individual contributor with independent ownership and accountability.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
