Job Description

Group Finance Operations Lead

Pear Tree.

• You’ll be responsible for the financial operations, reporting rhythm, cash visibility, and key operational controls across: • Family investment trust • Australian operating company • Australian health & wellness business with physical product / inventory (Unleashed ERP) • Personal family budget — household cash flow, recurring payments, and simple reporting, handled with discretion and clear boundaries (currently in Lunch Money; open to alternatives) • Your job is to run the close, the cash, the controls, and the value-creation moves cleanly across the three entities plus the family budget.

Job Requirements

  • 5–8 years finance + ops experience for SMEs / owner-operated businesses
  • Deep, current Xero across multi-entity setups (including a trust)
  • Strong Australian tax context — BAS, GST, super, STP, FBT — adds value to expense categorisation, not just records what's given
  • Demonstrated cashflow operator — managed weekly cashflow with granular detail; can point to tangible improvements (DSO, late fees, working capital)
  • Google Sheets fluency — can extend an existing model, not just build from scratch
  • Inventory exposure — reorder points, EOQ, S&OP rhythm
  • Analytical and proactive — pushes insights without being asked
