Title: Billing Specialist Job Description: Overview: The Billing Specialist is a critical role on the RenewableWorks team and is responsible for timely and accurate delivery of client billing. The Billing Specialist reports directly to the Manager, Field Support. Location: Arizona, US (Remote) Responsibilities: - Handles pay advance requests and tracking - Audits daily Sign-in Sheets from jobsites - Audits weekly payroll/billing data to verify prior to finalizing billing - Audits billing to ensure alignment with contractual requirements - Distributes weekly billing per client requirements - Ensures that billing is entered in customer’s Vendor Management System (VMS) or Accounts Payable (AP) system in accordance with customer’s contract, and is reconciled to invoicing in Accounts Receivable (AR) system - Reconciles VMS remittances and analyzes customer payments to ensure that all billing submitted results in payment - Identifies and resolves billing issues by collaborating with various teams including co-workers within the AR and Collections teams, Operations, Sales, and Customer Service - Initiates regular communication with internal teams to provide account status and reporting - Handles specialized reporting for client requirements Qualifications: - Proficient in Microsoft Office suite applications with specific emphasis on Word, Excel (VLOOKUP’s and Pivot Tables a must, Power Pivot preferred), Outlook and PowerPoint - 1-2 years’ experience required, 2-3 years’ experience in a billing, accounts receivable, or accounting environment preferred - Experience in reconciling accounts - Knowledge of and experience with issuing purchase orders is preferred - Ability to adapt & master new programs quickly - Ability to deal with people tactfully and effectively - Excellent verbal and written communication skills - Attention to detail; ability to work independently and as a member of a team - Adept at time management and the ability to multi-task with changing priorities - Excellent organization skills - Associate’s degree or equivalent preferred. - High school diploma, GED, or international equivalent required. Salary Range: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour, depending on experience and geographic location.
