We are looking for a highly experienced Accountant and Accounting Technology Leader to join Dext and shape our position in the North American market. This is a strategic, high-impact role where you will act as the voice of the accounting industry (mostly internally), helping to guide product direction, influence go-to-market strategies, and ensure Dext remains at the forefront of innovation. You will bring deep regional expertise in accounting practices, legislation, and technology trends, and use this to drive alignment across product, sales, and marketing teams. The role, what you’ll do: - Act as Dext’s accounting and industry expert for North America, bringing deep knowledge of accounting practices, technology, and regulation - Influence product strategy and positioning by translating market trends, customer needs, and regulatory changes into actionable insights - Represent Dext externally through industry events, advisory boards, and thought leadership - Support Sales, Marketing, and Product teams to clearly articulate the value of Dext solutions to accountants and bookkeepers - Gather and communicate customer feedback and market requirements to shape future product development - Collaborate cross-functionally to drive go-to-market initiatives and ensure product alignment with regional needs - Build strong relationships with partners and third-party providers to support integrations and ecosystem growth About you, what we are looking for: - Strong background in accounting, with experience in an accounting practice (essential) - Recognised cloud accounting expert with a deep understanding of accounting workflows and technology ecosystems - Ability to translate market insight and customer needs into product opportunities - Confident communicator, experienced in delivering presentations, demos, and representing solutions externally - Passion for accounting technology and its evolving role in the profession - Strong knowledge of leading accounting software (e.g. Dext, QuickBooks, Xero, Sage) - Collaborative, curious, and commercially minded, with a drive to share knowledge and influence others - Experience building relationships with tax authorities, regulators, or industry bodies in North America would be a plus!
