Role Description Performs intermediate skilled administrative support work entering claims into the Association's database, preparing and processing insurance or workers' compensation claims invoices, assisting with a variety of office support activities, answering telephones, preparing and maintaining detailed and/or confidential records and files, and related work as apparent or assigned. Work is performed under the close supervision of the Claims Services Supervisor. - Supports the Association's "Four Pillars": Civic Engagement, Leadership Development, Legislative Advocacy, and Membership Services. - Knowledge of and general understanding of the programs and services offered by the Association. - Provides outstanding customer support that reflects well on the entire Association. - Exhibits outstanding customer service, teamwork, and organizational commitment. - Answers telephones; provides information to County officials and staff; forwards calls to appropriate parties; greets visitors; distributes incoming faxes. - Enters a variety of program-related information into the Association's database. - Generates and distributes Property & Liability (IRMA) deductible invoices; follows up on outstanding invoices. - Drafts, updates, and reviews a variety of documents including Association correspondence, authorized physician panels, forms, and reports. - Receives, maintains, and administers documents for the Claims Department. - Serves as backup to Claims Account Specialist. - Receives bills for inmate treatment and forwards them for processing. Qualifications - General knowledge of standard office practices, procedures, equipment, and administrative support techniques. - General knowledge of business English, spelling, and arithmetic. - Skills in the use of standard office software applications, specifically Microsoft Office products. - Ability to type accurately at a reasonable rate of speed. - Ability to follow oral and written instructions. - Ability to operate a variety of standard office equipment. - Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships. Requirements - High school diploma or GED. - Moderate (minimum 3 years) progressive experience in general clerical work which included customer service, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Physical Requirements - Occasional exertion of up to 25 pounds of force. - Regularly requires sitting, speaking or hearing, using hands to finger, handle or feel, and reaching with hands and arms. - Occasionally requires standing, walking, climbing or balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling, pushing or pulling, lifting, and repetitive motions. - Standard vision requirements; vocal communication is required for expressing or exchanging ideas. - Work is primarily performed in a home office environment. Special Requirements - Employees are required to have and maintain a high-speed, broadband internet connection at their work site. - A minimum download speed of 25 Mbps is required; 40MB internet connection is recommended. - ACCG employees must have a primary residence within the state of Georgia. - Employment candidates are subject to a background screening in compliance with established ACCG background check procedures.
