• Lead the operational accounting team responsible for accounting activities across Intersect's energy portfolio. • Mentor, develop, and support team members through coaching, training, performance management, and career development. • Foster a collaborative, high-performing team culture focused on accountability, continuous improvement, and professional growth. • Manage evolving priorities and support special projects that contribute to organizational objectives. • Oversee general ledger activities to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of financial information. • Partner across functions to support organizational goals and improve financial transparency. • Consolidate and optimize month-end close processes to enable faster, more accurate reporting. • Perform and support internal control activities to strengthen financial reporting and compliance. • Evaluate accounting processes, workflows, and systems to identify opportunities for improvement. • Serve as a subject matter expert on U.S. GAAP and emerging accounting standards. • Maintain and enhance accounting policies and procedures to support effective internal controls over financial reporting. • Assist with annual audit activities and serve as a key partner to external auditors. • Help drive consistent application of accounting policies across the organization.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 5–7+ years of accounting experience, including at least 3 years in Big Four public accounting audit.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, technical accounting research, and financial reporting requirements.
- Experience supporting SOX compliance and internal control environments.
- Proven ability to evaluate complex accounting issues, develop recommendations, and document conclusions effectively.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate across teams.
- Proficiency with Google Workspace and intermediate Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, and SUMIF functions.
- Preferred Qualifications
- CPA and/or Master's degree in Accounting.
- Experience with Sage Intacct.
- Experience in the energy, infrastructure, or power generation industry.
- Demonstrated ability to apply technical accounting guidance to complex business transactions.
- Collaborative, detail-oriented, and adaptable approach to problem solving.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and driving positive change.

Role Description We are looking for a skilled Accounting Clerk to perform a variety of accounting, bookkeeping and financial tasks.
