Proficiency with computerized accounting and, spreadsheet software programs, specifically QuickBooks Online and Excel. Minimum one year of experience with QuickBooks Online, bank reconciliations, and full-charge bookkeeping service is required. Organized, detail-oriented with solid verbal and written communication skills and the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects. Expectations for the Position   Records transactions in ledgers, prepares trial balances and simple financial statements using Quickbooks Online. Posts transactions that result in accurate financial statements. Prepares bank reconciliations. Processes accounts payable invoices using BILL. Prepares payroll, quarterly and year end payroll tax filings. Reconciles accounts to control accounts. Performs schedule computations of accruals, property and equipment, and calculates depreciation expense. Assists in proofing financial statements, budgets and board reports. Collaborates with VA team to balance workload and assist with special projects as needed. Communicates directly with clients on their day-to-day accounting needs. Performs other accounting, as needed, in engagements and as assigned by supervisory personnel. Work Conditions   Overtime work, as needed, throughout the year. January is a busy month due to year-end close. The first two to three weeks of the month are busier due to month-end close. Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday work in-office (Bend, Corvallis or Eugene) preferred for first 90 days of employment.
