Sourcing Manager - Meeting & Event Venues

Role Description You will be accountable for creating and submitting proposal requests (RFPs) and sourcing and contracting hotels, venues, and ground transportation providers. The Sourcing Manager, Meeting & Event Venues is accountable for consulting clients and scheduling site inspections to ensure we provide the best results for our client's meetings and events. You will act as the SME (Subject Matter Expert), recommending venues, contracting terms, and best practices. As a Sourcing Manager - Meeting & Event Venues, you will: - Work with the client to understand the meeting goals and objectives, the sleeping room, and space requirements. Be consultative in your approach. - Make recommendations based on supplier relationships, budget, location, availability, goals, and objectives. - Distribute, monitor, and analyze supplier Requests for Proposals (RFPs) for client meeting needs. - Negotiate contracts for the best possible prices and concessions to meet savings expectations on meeting spend. - Source preferred ground transportation providers and provide proposals to the group. - Manage amendments and cancellation requests efficiently. - Keep abreast of new destination options, well-priced seasonal destination options, and “hot date” offerings. - Enter and update contracted details and negotiated savings in CVENT. - Monitor hotel penalties for rebooking opportunities. - Adhere to client compliance and performance management SLAs. - Provide excellent customer service.
