Role Description This role is eligible for remote work. As Senior Financial Analyst a typical day might include: - Support the FP&A team in budgeting, forecasting, long‑range planning, and monthly performance updates - Prepare reporting packages, dashboards, and presentations for leadership - Perform variance analysis and highlight key drivers, trends, and insights - Assist in financial modeling for business cases, ROI assessments, and potential acquisitions - Contribute to M&A activities through financial analysis and integration support - Translate complex data into clear insights for stakeholders - Prepares and updates various management level reporting and presentations, including P&L variance commentary, operational performance reports, quarterly Townhall updates, practice group profitability reporting, and other ad hoc requests - Monthly actuals vs. budget reporting on departmental revenue and expenses - Update and maintain Axis’ Financial Reporting Package (FRP) and Sales Reporting Dashboard for internal and external reporting - Use AI‑powered and advanced analytics tools to improve reporting processes through automation and data workflow improvements - Ad hoc financial modeling/analysis Qualifications - Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in FP&A, corporate finance, or accounting - Experience partnering with business leaders to understand operational needs and translate them into actionable financial insights - CPA or MBA preferred - Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or related field - Insurance industry experience an asset - Experience using the Epic broker management system an asset Requirements - Providing friendly, professional service - Making a positive difference to those around you - Sharing ideas and working with a great team of proactive, innovative thinkers - Learning, growing, and pushing past barriers - Living with integrity - Taking ownership of your work and actions Benefits - Fun! Role Description This position is designated as a Systems and Procedures Analyst located in a Call Center Team (CCT)/Phone Section, Call Center Division (CCD), Payroll Operations Support (POS) of the Financial Services Center (FSC), Austin, Texas. The first 100 applications received will be considered first. - Applications received after the initial cut-off number may not receive consideration unless otherwise requested by management. - Submitting multiple applications will change the order in which your application is reviewed. - This position is in the Financial Payroll Service (FPS) of the Financial Services Center (FSC), Payroll Operations Support (POS), Call Center Division (CCD). - Knowledge of the Veteran's Affairs (VA) payroll and accounting systems and/or local payroll operations as well as the VA Time and Attendance system (VATAS). - Thorough knowledge of the Defense Civilian Payroll System (DCPS) software and Defense Finance and Accounting Service (DFAS). - Knowledge of various Payroll Personnel, Accounting, and Fiscal Manuals, along with publications of other federal agencies as they relate to the VA and DFAS automated Payroll and Accounting Systems. - Incumbent is also required to have knowledge of various Payroll Personnel, Accounting, and Fiscal Manuals. - The individual receives telephone inquiries from the field facilities on production problems that require immediate action. - Determine the appropriate steps that need to be followed after gathering facts. - The inquiries may be received from Fiscal Offices, Personnel Offices, VA Central Office, and other Federal Agencies. - Incumbent will coordinate various work functions of Payroll Technicians and other Systems and Procedures Analysts. - Conduct training for new employees and perform ongoing training as assigned by the supervisor. - Prepare standard operating procedures for both HRSmart and DFAS as a training tool. - Conduct on-site payroll training and travel required for various VA stations. Qualifications - To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement, 06/22/2026. - Time-In-Grade Requirement: Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements. - For a GS-09 position, you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-07. - For a GS-11 position, you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-09. - An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials.
