• Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial agreements. • Advise product and engineering teams on legal considerations related to Hello Heart's mobile app and AI/ML-driven features. • Draft and advise on product-facing legal materials. • Review, negotiate, and manage vendor and supplier agreements. • Support the Compliance function on HIPAA, FDA, FTC, CMS, and HHS OIG requirements. • Partner with internal stakeholders to build and maintain efficient legal processes. • Provide day-to-day legal counseling to commercial and product teams. • Support monitoring developments in digital health law and regulation. • Support special projects, investigations, and new business initiatives as needed.
Job Requirements
- 5+ years of legal experience, with a mix of transactional, product counseling, including advising on regulatory risk.
- Law firm experience required; in-house experience in healthcare, digital health, or medical devices preferred.
- Experience advising on product and technology matters, including legal risks and considerations related to data privacy, AI/ML, intellectual property, or FDA-regulated products.
- Track record of drafting and negotiating commercial agreements of varying complexity.
- Experience negotiating SaaS, technology, and vendor procurement agreements.
- Familiarity with key regulatory frameworks in digital health, including HIPAA, FDA, FTC, and CMS.
- Strong judgment in identifying risks and developing practical, business-oriented solutions.
- Highly organized, with the ability to handle and prioritize multiple matters simultaneously in a dynamic environment.
- Team player willing to pitch in across a wide variety of legal and business needs.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, effective in a distributed environment.
- JD from an accredited U.S. law school; licensed and in good standing with a state bar.
