Job Description

Director, Accounting Operations

Vori Health

• Develop, implement, and monitor financial controls framework • Liaise with different teams across the business, to design robust financial processes • Manage the relationship with external auditors and other professional service providers • Financial reporting: Responsible for month end close, monthly reporting package, year-end, and audit • Revenue accounting: Review new contracts and develop/manage framework for revenue recognition (ASC 606); stay current with nuances of accounting for unique revenue models • Treasury Management: Administer bank accounts, credit facilities, FX management, review and approve banking transactions/payments • Tax: Work with external vendors to oversee company tax compliance and transfer pricing policies • Identify and recommend systems optimization opportunities and process improvements; implement approved changes • Provide insightful analysis and narratives to support planning and decision making • Preparation and review of reporting – including compilation, research, and analysis • Assist in compiling documents and managing data room for fundraising • Manage projects for the Finance team requiring research, data compilation, and analysis to support planning and decision making • Monitor, analyze, and report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) • Recruit, interview, hire, and train new team members as needed • Team Leadership: Lead, manage and hold accountable the accounting team • Oversees the daily workflow of direct reports • Provides constructive and timely performance feedback and evaluations • Perform other projects and duties as assigned
