Role Description We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Commissioning Agent (CxA) to join our remote team. In this role, you will oversee and coordinate building commissioning activities to ensure mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and control systems perform according to design intent and owner requirements. You will work closely with project teams, contractors, and facility owners to deliver high-performing, energy-efficient buildings. - Develop and manage commissioning plans, schedules, and documentation - Review design documents, specifications, and submittals for commission ability - Coordinate and witness equipment startup, testing, and functional performance testing - Verify proper operation of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, lighting, and building automation systems - Identify deficiencies and track corrective actions through resolution - Prepare commissioning reports and project documentation - Conduct site visits and support project teams during construction and occupancy phases - Collaborate with owners, architects, engineers, contractors, and facility personnel - Support energy efficiency, sustainability, and LEED commissioning requirements Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred - 3+ years of commissioning, facilities engineering, building systems, or construction experience - Knowledge of HVAC, electrical, controls, and building automation systems - Experience with commissioning standards and industry best practices - Strong project management and technical documentation skills - Excellent communication and client-facing abilities - Certifications such as CxA, CCP, CBCP, BCxP, or LEED AP are highly desirable Benefits - Competitive compensation - Fully remote work environment with occasional travel - Flexible work schedule - Health, dental, and vision insurance - Paid time off and company holidays - 401(k) with company match - Professional certification and continuing education reimbursement - Career growth opportunities - Employee wellness programs - Collaborative and supportive work culture
