• Lead and execute on WelbeHealth’s employment legal strategy in support of a diverse workforce and multi-state operations, as well as serve as the lead legal advisor on all employment litigation and pre-litigation matters from intake through resolution • Manage all claims and disputes brought by third parties, as well as oversee sensitive internal investigations involving employee complaints and regulatory exposure • Maintain current knowledge of key federal and state employment law, as well as provide legal advice on federal and state employment regulatory matters • Develop and implement strategies and tools designed to minimize employment-related litigation risk • Draft employment related documents, such as policies, separation agreements, and arbitration agreements, as well as lead employment-law readiness for entry into new states • Support training initiatives for team members on compliance, risk awareness and preventative practices • Work directly with outside counsel on issues requiring specialized legal consultation
Job Requirements
- J.D. from an accredited institution; state bar passage and in good standing
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience as a practicing attorney (law firm and in-house experience are strongly preferred)
- Significant knowledge of relevant employment laws
- Proven ability to lead complex litigation and negotiations with minimum oversight
- Ability to proactively anticipate and identify legal issues and develop strategies and solutions to address such issues
- Experience leading in a data-driven organization, leveraging reports and data to prioritize and manage people and projects
- Must be willing and able to work a varied schedule that may include evenings, nights, weekends, and overtime

Role Description This role can either be based in our Delhi, Bangalore, Pune offices or remotely in India. The Managing Counsel, APAC will be responsible for a wide range of legal matters with a focus on corporate governance and commercial matters.
