• Design, deploy, and tune Layer 2/3 networks (Cisco/Meraki, Dell, Palo Alto) across data-center, lab, and office environments • Maintain high-capacity links (10 GbE – 100 GbE), routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), and firewall policies to meet strict latency and uptime targets • Use Ansible, Python, or Terraform to turn repetitive tasks into reproducible playbooks and CI/CD pipelines • Tri-level troubleshooting (physical, logical, cloud edge) for P1/P2 events; rotate in a 24×7 on-call schedule • Keep diagrams, runbooks, and change records current so the wider Ops and SRE teams can move quickly • Partner with InfoSec to harden configs, manage certs/keys, and remediate vulnerabilities with switch upgrades
Job Requirements
- 5-8 yrs enterprise/DC networking; Cisco/Meraki, Dell, Palo Alto firewalls & Cisco WLCs
- Deep L2/L3 (Ethernet, VLAN, STP, BGP/OSPF), VPN & firewall expertise
- Automation: Python, Ansible/Terraform (or similar)
- Cloud: AWS/Azure/GCP (VPC, Direct Connect/ExpressRoute, TGW)
- Self-starter, clear communicator, docs/runbooks pro; mentors juniors engineers
- Bonus certs: CCNA/CCNP/PCNSE
