Job Description

Network Engineer

SOFTETA

• Perform configuration and commissioning of network infrastructure and connected devices during project execution. • Configure, test, and troubleshoot Cisco switches and firewalls during commissioning activities. • Verify network connectivity, routing, VLANs, redundancy mechanisms, and overall system integration. • Provide remote support for offshore installations once connectivity has been established. • Implement, modify, and maintain firewall policies and network configurations in accordance with operational requirements. • Support a high volume of network changes during the transition to offshore operations, including frequent updates to firewall rules, routing, and network segmentation. • Troubleshoot network-related issues and support incident resolution in collaboration with project and operations teams.

Job Requirements

  • Strong hands-on experience with Cisco networking technologies, including switch configuration, VLANs, routing, and troubleshooting.
  • Cisco certification (CCNA or higher) or equivalent practical experience.
  • Proven experience with FortiGate firewalls and FortiOS administration.
  • Experience managing firewall policies, NAT, access control rules, and network security configurations.
  • Ability to work independently during commissioning and site activities.
  • Experience supporting critical infrastructure, industrial, energy, or offshore environments is highly desirable.
  • Nice to have:
  • Knowledge of industrial networking concepts and network segmentation.
  • Familiarity with remote troubleshooting and support of operational environments.
  • Experience working in commissioning projects and brownfield environments where network changes must be carefully controlled.

Role Description Provides technical support for the Bank’s data or voice network infrastructure.
