Director – Life Sciences Advisory – Data & Analytics

Guidehouse

• Directors are responsible for managing projects from identification to completion. • Develops strategic planning and assesses the operating model for client organizations. • Assists on business case analysis and innovation design and ideation. • Offers leadership assessment, leadership development and coaching, and culture assessment and strategy. • Advises on customer experience strategy and transformation. • In this role, you will lead the activities of the designated project team and support the day-to-day management of the client relationship. • You will effectively develop and manage analytics work plans, staffing, deadlines and budgets and manage multiple projects simultaneously. • Your work products are high quality and client-ready. • In this visible role, you’ll lead team meetings and guide, manage, and coach staff consultants, providing constructive feedback on their project participation and overall career development. • You will also collaborate with other Directors and Partners, keeping them abreast of project progress and important developments. • You will be responsible for identifying product and service innovation solutions and bringing them to market. • The Director is also accountable for achieving defined business development, sales, and revenue targets for Guidehouse. • Travel is project dependent but averages 30 percent.

Job Requirements

  • BA/BS degree in a quantitative field, such as Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Business Analytics or related course of study; advanced degree/PhD preferred.
  • Minimum 10+ years of prior relevant consulting or work experience working with large global pharma, mid-sized pharma and/or biotech clients.
  • Strong understanding of the pharmaceutical industry, including drug development and launch.
  • The ability to analyze complex information, quality check results, and develop a structured, data-informed story.
  • Excellent communication skills to convey strategic recommendations to various stakeholders, including senior management.
  • Must have subject matter expertise in Data Analytics and possess a strong knowledge of modern datasets and analytics environments.
  • Strong foundation across life science functions, including commercial operations, market access, patient services, and medical.
  • 5+ years of experience leading project engagements which includes planning, scoping, budget development, management and resource allocation, and managing multiple or more complex projects within scope, timeline and budget.
  • 5+ years of formal management of team performance to achieve project goals and exceed client expectations.
  • Must be willing and able to travel to client sites across the US, up to 30% of the time.
  • Demonstrated success formally supervising, coaching and mentoring junior level staff including ownership and guidance of their career development.
  • Authorized/eligible to work for any US employer without sponsorship.
