• Investigate the cause and origin of failures, damages, or defects in mechanical systems and components within industrial, commercial, and residential sites • Analyze the failure of mechanical systems, determine the cause of failures, evaluate the quality of construction, and review design and maintenance procedures • Perform field investigations, lead multi-party examinations and documentation of damaged property • Research failure modes, code requirements, and provide recommendations for repair and /or replacement as needed • Prepare accurate, clear, thorough, and concise reports and related documentation for clients detailing opinions and conclusions • Participate in multidisciplinary teams on large and complex assignments • Maintain established relationships with current clients and consultants • Stay abreast of company policies, procedures and practices; participate in ongoing training and development as assigned or approved to assure knowledge and skills remain current and comprehensive

• Responsible for Civil/Structural Engineering related tasks as assigned, with minimal guidance, in support of Electrical Substation design primarily focused on structural engineering and design • Perform structural steel, structure anchorage, and concrete foundation designs • Generate structural steel and reinforced concrete details • Develop structural analysis models and design of steel structures and equipment support foundations • Utilize in-house developed design tools to assist in analysis, post-processing and creating construction drawings • Assist in the preparation of calculation reports and packages, steel and rebar fabrication shop drawing review, and construction submittal review • Involved in executing structural steel and concrete analysis, design, and detailing, for transmission and distribution electrical substations with voltage classes up to and including 345kV • Review and produce civil/structural design drawings including Structural and Foundation Plans and Details and Oil Containment Plan and Details • Review civil design drawings including Site Plan, Grading and Drainage Plan and Details for coordination with structural and other substation physical elements • Work as a self-directed autonomous level of responsibility while under the direction and supervision of a registered Senior Substation Civil/Structural Engineer

• Create high-fidelity, coded prototypes and interaction models that bring complex, AI-powered workflows to life and clearly communicate product direction. • Own high-impact initiatives from concept through production, shipping experiences that reflect strong design thinking, technical rigor, and a deep understanding of customer workflows. • Lead technical design discussions, make architectural decisions, and guide cross-team implementation efforts. • Advance AlphaSense’s design system as a core piece of product infrastructure—defining scalable patterns, enabling consistency, and accelerating teams building across AI-native experiences. • Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to research and evaluate user requirements, translate them into effective designs, and ensure that the final product meets both user and business needs. • Collaborate with engineering teams during development, advocating for design quality and user experience by championing design fidelity and attention to detail throughout the development lifecycle. • Act as a senior leader within the Design team, mentoring designers and engineers, raising the bar for craft, and contributing to a strong, collaborative design culture. • Serve as connective tissue across design, product, and engineering—helping teams navigate tradeoffs between technical constraints, business goals, and user experience to deliver high-quality outcomes.

• Reporting to the Director of Engineering, the Design Engineer partners closely with Product Design and Product Engineering to build high-quality, user-centered software experiences. • Focuses on translating product and design intent into scalable, accessible, and performant interfaces and systems. • Bridges design and engineering by contributing to design systems, frontend architecture, and implementation details that directly impact end-user experience. • Supports the product team, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, operational excellence, and compliance standards. • Builds and maintains user-facing product features with a strong emphasis on usability, accessibility, and performance. • Partners with Product Designers to translate design concepts, prototypes, and UX flows into production-ready implementations. • Contributes to and evolves the product design system, component libraries, and UI patterns. • Collaborates with Product and Engineering teams to define interaction patterns, technical constraints, and implementation approaches. • Ensures design fidelity, responsiveness, and cross-browser compatibility across supported platforms. • Advocates for best practices in frontend architecture, design quality, and developer experience.
