Role Description As a Mechanical Design Engineer – Fixtures, you will be instrumental in designing technology solutions that address client challenges in the Component Engineering domain. You’ll work closely with sales and delivery teams to shape proposals, contribute to solutioning, and support clients in adopting innovative, value-driven technologies. - Technical owner for fixture and mechanical system design for semiconductor manufacturing tools across pilot, integration, and high‑volume manufacturing (HVM). - Lead end‑to‑end mechanical development: requirements definition, concept selection, detailed design, drawing release, and lifecycle support. - Drive complex fixture and assembly designs using Siemens NX and/or PTC Creo, setting modelling, GD&T, and documentation best practices. - Apply strong foundations in physics and mathematics to enable first‑principles engineering for structural behavior, stiffness, tolerances, and material selection. - Perform and review engineering calculations to validate design decisions and ensure robust, predictable mechanical performance. - Establish and enforce Design for Excellence (DFx) principles including manufacturability, reliability, serviceability, cost, and scalability to HVM. - Lead Design Development Reviews (DDRs), identify technical risks early, and make informed trade‑off decisions backed by analysis and data. - Serve as the technical interface with on‑site test engineers, manufacturing teams, and suppliers to resolve integration and build issues. - Ensure designs meet SEMI standards, internal quality requirements, and long‑term tool reliability expectations. - (Good‑to‑have) Perform structural analysis using Simcenter 3D to evaluate stress, stiffness, deformation, and design robustness. Qualifications - 4–6 years of experience in IT delivery and solutioning within the Mechanical Fixture Design Domain. - Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills. - Experience in presales or client-facing technical roles is a plus. - Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, or a related field. - Passion for innovation and a proactive approach to problem-solving and collaboration.
