Advisory Engineer, Systems Infrastructure

• Designs, implements and maintains complex systems infrastructure including applications, services, servers, management tools, and performance tools. • Collaborates with peer Sr. level IT team members within the organization to develop solutions for complex technical problems & business requirements. • Leverages depth and breadth of technical expertise to address escalated issues from within the IT organization and the overall organization. • Reviews, advises and designs standard software and hardware builds, system options, risks, costs versus benefits and impact on the organization’s business processes and goals. • Provides technical expertise for the development and management of the architecture governance process. • Partners with IT organizations responsible for applications and databases to develop solutions tailored to specific business requirements. • Collects requirements and develop technical designs and implementation plans for major systems infrastructure projects including, but not limited to, messaging & collaboration technologies. • Leads implementations of messaging and collaboration technologies. • Troubleshoots, analyzes and resolves complex business and technical issues. • Performs other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
- Requires 4 year college degree, technical certification or equivalent experience.
- Requires minimum of 7 years of experience with Microsoft operating systems and networking.
- Requires minimum of 2 years of experience with Microsoft SharePoint.
- Requires minimum of 5 years of experience with UNIX and Windows operating systems.
- Requires minimum of 5 years of experience with VMWare ESX products.
- Requires thorough knowledge of TCP/IP protocol; requires extensive knowledge of networking hardware and ability to use that knowledge to configure and maintain installed systems.

The CAD Silicon Support Engineering team is the backbone of our silicon development engine.
