Role Description Our Southern Africa division is expanding, and we are seeking highly experienced Luxury Travel Consultants with deep destination expertise and a proven track record in high-performance luxury travel sales. This role is designed for true industry professionals—individuals who understand the complexity of luxury safari travel, excel in bespoke itinerary design, and consistently convert high-value international enquiries into confirmed bookings. Candidates must bring strong commercial awareness, destination mastery, and the ability to build immediate trust with discerning global clients. Success in this role is measured by conversion performance, revenue contribution, client satisfaction, and the quality of tailor-made itineraries delivered—not enquiry handling volume. - Convert qualified luxury travel enquiries into confirmed, high-value bookings and long-term client relationships - Design and deliver seamless, highly detailed bespoke itineraries across Southern Africa - Establish credibility and trust quickly with international clients through exceptional communication, emotional intelligence, and cultural awareness - Maintain expert-level knowledge of Southern African destinations, lodge portfolios, routing, and seasonal travel dynamics - Ensure absolute accuracy across all proposals, documentation, CRM records, and client communications - Independently manage a high-performance sales pipeline in alignment with team processes and commercial targets - Contribute to African Safari Group’s commitment to responsible tourism, conservation, and meaningful travel experiences - Collaborate effectively with internal teams to ensure operational excellence and a seamless client journey from enquiry to return travel Qualifications - Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in luxury travel, bespoke safari sales, or high-end B2C travel consulting - Demonstrated expertise across Southern Africa, including Botswana, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Namibia, Mozambique, Eswatini, and Lesotho - Proven commercial success with measurable conversion rates and revenue generation - Strong experience using CRM and itinerary systems such as Wetu, Tourplan, or equivalent platforms - Tertiary qualification in Travel & Tourism, Hospitality, Business, or Marketing (advantageous) - Fluent English essential; additional languages such as German, French, Dutch, Spanish, or Italian are highly advantageous - Strong commercial acumen with an understanding of margins, yield, and conversion performance - High emotional intelligence with the ability to read client needs and build trust rapidly - Exceptional attention to detail and strong organisational discipline - Self-driven, resilient, and comfortable working independently in a remote or hybrid environment - Calm under pressure with a solutions-focused mindset - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Genuine passion for Africa, conservation, sustainability, and delivering transformative travel experiences Benefits - A competitive, performance-linked remuneration structure - The opportunity to represent one of Africa’s leading luxury safari brands - Access to world-class training, destination knowledge, and operational support - A high-performance culture that rewards excellence and supports career progression - The opportunity to contribute meaningfully to conservation and community upliftment initiatives across Southern Africa
